Position Overview

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive mental health assessments to identify patient needs and create personalized treatment plans tailored to individual circumstances.
• Utilize evidence-based therapeutic modalities such as cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT), solution-focused therapy, and other relevant techniques to deliver effective treatment to clients.
• Facilitate psychoeducational workshops and support groups that foster community, educate clients about mental health issues, and promote coping strategies.
• Work collaboratively with psychiatrists, psychologists, and multidisciplinary team members to coordinate comprehensive care that addresses all aspects of the patient’s well-being.
• Provide crisis intervention and support for individuals experiencing mental health emergencies.
• Educate patients on various mental health conditions, possible treatment pathways, and available community resources to empower them in their recovery journey.
• Maintain accurate and confidential documentation that complies with legal and ethical standards while facilitating seamless communication among care team members.
• Actively engage in case consultations and team meetings, contributing insights and gaining further knowledge from peer discussions.
• Commit to continuous professional development by staying informed about the latest research, trends, and advancements in mental health therapy.

Patient Population / Client Focus

Your role will involve working with a diverse patient population, including children, adolescents, adults, and families who struggle with a variety of mental health conditions. Many of our clients face significant life challenges and require empathetic, culturally competent care. You will be pivotal in providing a safe space for clients to express themselves and work towards their treatment goals.

Qualifications

• A Bachelor’s Degree in Social Work, Psychology, Mental Health Counseling, Marriage and Family Therapy, or a related field from an accredited institution is required.
• Current and valid licensure as an LCSW, LMFT, or LPCC within the state of California.
• Strong understanding of mental health disorders, treatment modalities, and therapeutic techniques is essential for success in this role.
• Demonstrated ability to conduct thorough assessments and formulate effective treatment plans tailored to individual needs.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills that foster trust and rapport with clients and colleagues.

Preferred Experience

• Experience working with specific populations, such as individuals dealing with substance use disorders or chronic mental illness, is a plus.
• Familiarity with electronic health record systems to streamline documentation and patient management processes.
• Previous telehealth experience or comfort with virtual therapy platforms is advantageous.
• Knowledge of community resources and referrals that can benefit our patients.

Compensation and Benefits

The compensation for this full-time position ranges from $115,000 to $130,000 annually, commensurate with experience and qualifications.
