The Associate Director, Portfolio Program Management plays a critical leadership role within the TEDS portfolio, driving the execution of complex business transformation initiatives across Collins Aerospace. Reporting directly to the TEDS General Manager, this position serves as the central point of coordination and accountability for a portfolio of concurrent programs that may include facility transitions, operational consolidations, product and process migrations, and business sunset activities. The role exists to ensure these initiatives are executed with discipline, transparency, and alignment to approved business objectives while enabling senior leadership to remain focused on strategic and operational priorities.

This position is responsible for end to end program execution, including planning, integrated master scheduling, resource coordination, governance, risk management, and executive reporting. The Associate Director works closely with stakeholders across Operations, Supply Chain, Finance, HR, Legal, Real Estate, and other functional teams to manage interdependencies, resolve issues, and drive milestone achievement. Success in this role requires the ability to lead through influence, communicate effectively with senior leaders, and maintain visibility across multiple programs simultaneously. It is an excellent opportunity for a program management professional who thrives on bringing structure to complex initiatives and delivering measurable business outcomes across a diverse portfolio.

This is a remote role with up to 25% business travel required to support business and program needs.

What You Will Do:

  • Lead execution of assigned portfolio programs, ensuring achievement of scope, schedule, cost, and quality commitments
  • Develop, manage, and maintain integrated master schedules and program baselines
  • Prepare and deliver program reports, executive dashboards, and governance materials for RTX/Collins review processes
  • Lead cross‑functional program teams through influence, ensuring alignment across Operations, Supply Chain, HR, Real Estate, Finance, Legal, and Program
  • Develop and manage communication cadences across program workstreams; prepare briefings and updates for senior leadership
  • Identify, assess, and manage program risks and issues; drive mitigation planning and escalate as appropriate
  • Ensure programs meet RTX/Collins governance, compliance, and financial review requirements
  • Manage interdependencies across multiple concurrent programs and ensure alignment across functional stakeholders
  • Build and maintain strong working relationships with site leaders and functional partners, enabling effective information flow and timely decision‑making
  • Represent the TEDS portfolio in interactions with Precision Enabling Technologies leadership and Mission Critical Products stakeholders, providing clear, concise, and data‑driven updates
  • Travel up to 25%

Qualifications You Must Have:

  • Typically requires a University Degree and minimum 12 years prior relevant experience or an Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 10 years of experience
  • 7+ years of progressive program or project management experience within manufacturing, aerospace and defense, industrial, or similarly complex operational environments
  • Demonstrated experience leading facility transitions, site consolidations, business closures, divestitures, integrations, or other large-scale operational transformation initiatives
  • Experience developing and managing integrated master schedules, program plans, and executive-level status reporting for complex programs
  • Experience managing multiple concurrent programs and coordinating cross-functional teams across geographically dispersed locations
  • PMP certification or equivalent program management credential

Qualifications We Prefer:

  • Experience operating within RTX, Collins Aerospace, or a comparable Tier 1 defense or aerospace contractor
  • Familiarity with RTX capital approval and M&A gate processes
  • Experience managing programs involving international operations, union workforces, or regulatory compliance across multiple jurisdictions
  • MBA or advanced degree

The salary range for this role is 157,200 USD - 298,800 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels.
