Working knowledge of the tools, concepts methodologies, and techniques of business process analysis and modeling, such as root cause analysis, cost/benefit analysis, process mapping/simulation, problem identification and interpretation, process change management, and performance measures

  • Six years of professional job related work experience in business analysis, project management, process improvement, developing business and/or technical documentation for end-users, business process modeling/mapping and/or methodologies development

Or an equivalent combination of education and experience

Principal Duties & Responsibilities

Leads and manages small to medium-scale business initiatives/projects assigned to the department; assures projects are completed on time, within budget, and that customer expectations are met; develops accurate project deliverables, including but not limited to project charters, quantitative impact analysis, business process flows, business rules and/or requirements, use case scenarios, communication plans, risk mitigation plans, quality plans, issues/concerns logs, project checklists, implementation plans, transition plans, and other models or outputs derived from Six Sigma/Lean tools; houses all process improvement and project related deliverables in a central repository

Documents and models undocumented processes and identifies areas for improvement; creates consistent process models and adopts consistent tools and applies to existing and future documentation; provides process-modeling expertise to project team members; analyzes proposed changes in processes to determine effects of changes to interrelated processes

Evaluates sources of information in order to determine any limitations in terms of reliability or usability; identifies and rationalizes the use of metrics and reports for existing or new customers; proactively communicates and collaborates with external and internal customers to analyze information needs and functional requirements

Creates/presents recommendations to executive management seeking approval of recommended process improvements

Assesses progress and variances from the project plan, gathers metrics to support variance findings, and develops and implements changes, as necessary, to ensure that the initiative/project remains within specified scope, time, cost, and quality objectives, and further defines project needs and schedules, as necessary

Assists in continual development and improvement of the business process re-engineering and business process improvement methodologies

Performs other duties as assigned

The salary range for this job is $80,000 to $110,000. This range is specific to the job and salary offers consider a wide range of factors that are considered in making compensation decisions, including, but not limited to: education, experience, licensure, certifications, geographic location, and peer compensation. The range has been created in good faith based on information known to Aflac at the time of the posting.

 

At Aflac, it is not typical for an individual to be hired at or near the top of the range for the role to allow for future and continued salary growth, and compensation decisions are dependent on the circumstances of each case. This salary range does not include any potential incentive pay or benefits, however, such information will be provided separately when appropriate.

 

In addition to the base salary, we offer an array of benefits to meet your needs including medical, dental, and vision coverage, prescription drug coverage, health care flexible spending, dependent care flexible spending, Aflac supplemental policies (Accident, Cancer, Critical Illness and Hospital Indemnity offered at no costs to employee), 401(k) plans, annual bonuses, and an opportunity to purchase company stock.  On an annual basis, you'll also be offered 11 paid holidays, up to 20 days PTO to be used for any reason, and, if eligible, state-mandated sick leave (Washington employees accrue 1-hour sick leave for every 40 hours worked) and other leaves of absence, if eligible, when needed to support your physical, financial, and emotional well-being. Aflac complies with all applicable leave laws, including, but not limited to, sick and safe leave, and adoption and parental leave, in all states and localities.
