Remote process automation is commonly used in industries like finance, customer service, and IT, where digital tasks can be performed without the need for physical presence in the workplace.

Job description

Team Red Dog is hiring a Senior Data Analytics & Business Intelligence Engineer for our client, a global technology leader and intelligent cloud leader. In this highly visible remote role, you'll transform complex telemetry and operational data into trusted, actionable insights that improve the performance, reliability, and sustainability of large-scale data center infrastructure. You'll partner with engineering, operations, and program leadership teams to build scalable data validation processes, automate reporting workflows, and develop executive Power BI dashboards that influence business-critical decisions. This is an exceptional opportunity for an analytics professional who thrives on solving complex data quality challenges, uncovering operational insights, and driving measurable business impact through automation and business intelligence.

Top Required Skills (Must Haves):

  1. Data Quality Validation & Data Analytics – 4+ years of experience validating, verifying, and analyzing large datasets to ensure accuracy, completeness, consistency, and reliability across multiple data sources, ideally within data center or critical infrastructure environments.
  2. Power BI Dashboard Development – 3+ years of experience building intuitive dashboards, KPI scorecards, and executive reporting solutions that provide visibility into operational health, telemetry performance, and business outcomes.
  3. Telemetry & Operational Data Analysis – Experience identifying trends, anomalies, risks, and performance opportunities using telemetry and operational datasets, with the ability to translate findings into actionable recommendations.
  4. Process Automation & Business Intelligence – Experience automating manual reporting, validation, and data transformation processes using scripting, workflow automation, or data integration technologies to improve efficiency and scalability.

Opportunity Overview:

This role offers the opportunity to directly influence the reliability, efficiency, and sustainability of some of the world's largest data center environments. Rather than simply producing reports, you'll own the full analytics lifecycle—from validating telemetry and operational data to developing executive dashboards that enable better engineering and business decisions. You'll collaborate across engineering, operations, and program management while helping improve how critical infrastructure data is collected, trusted, and used throughout the organization. If you enjoy solving complex data challenges while making a measurable operational impact, this role provides exceptional visibility and meaningful technical ownership.

How you will make an impact:

  • Partner with engineering, operations, program management, and leadership teams to define reporting requirements and deliver data-driven analytics solutions.
  • Analyze large, complex datasets to identify trends, anomalies, operational risks, and opportunities for continuous improvement.
  • Validate data quality by ensuring accuracy, completeness, consistency, and integrity across multiple systems and data sources.
  • Design, automate, and maintain scalable data collection, transformation, and validation processes that improve reliability and reduce manual effort.
  • Develop and maintain Power BI dashboards, executive scorecards, KPI reporting, and self-service analytics solutions.
  • Build data validation frameworks, monitoring processes, and quality controls to proactively identify and resolve data issues.
  • Collaborate with technical teams to improve data models, metadata management, reporting structures, and governance practices.
  • Translate complex analytical findings into clear, actionable recommendations for both technical and executive stakeholders.
  • Drive automation, process standardization, and scalable reporting solutions that improve operational efficiency.
  • Support root cause investigations by leveraging data to identify underlying drivers of operational issues.
  • Document reporting processes, methodologies, data standards, and validation practices to support long-term scalability.

The expertise you bring:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a related technical discipline.
  • 5–7 years of experience in data analytics, business intelligence, reporting, or data quality management.
  • 4+ years of experience performing data quality validation, verification, and monitoring across multiple data sources.
  • 4+ years of experience analyzing operational data to identify trends, anomalies, performance gaps, and improvement opportunities.
  • 3+ years of experience developing dashboards and visualizations using Power BI, Tableau, or similar business intelligence platforms.
  • Experience automating manual reporting, validation, or data transformation processes using scripting or workflow automation technologies.
  • Strong troubleshooting, analytical thinking, investigative, and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to communicate technical concepts to diverse audiences.
  • Proven ability to deliver scalable solutions that improve operational visibility, efficiency, and data accuracy.
  • Experience with telemetry, engineering, IoT, industrial controls, or critical infrastructure data is highly preferred.
  • Experience implementing automated data validation, exception management, and executive KPI reporting is preferred.

What makes a candidate highly successful in this role:

Successful candidates demonstrate a strong background supporting data center operations or other critical infrastructure environments where telemetry data quality and operational performance are essential. They bring hands-on experience building Power BI dashboards, validating complex datasets, identifying operational anomalies, and automating reporting processes. Beyond technical expertise, they proactively identify risks before they become issues, influence engineering and operational decisions through meaningful insights, and create scalable analytics solutions that improve trust, visibility, and business outcomes.
