In this full-time position, you will play a pivotal role in providing high-quality mental health services specifically within a hospice environment. About the Organization

New Life Solutions Clinic is a premier outpatient mental health clinic committed to providing accessible and supportive care for individuals of all ages. We specialize in offering comprehensive mental health services, including therapy and counseling for a variety of issues such as depression, anxiety, and trauma-related disorders. Our mission is to create a nurturing environment that supports healing and personal growth. With a focus on evidence-based practices, we ensure our clients receive personalized care tailored to their unique circumstances.

Work Environment

This role operates remotely, allowing for flexibility while ensuring that our clients receive the specialized care they need from the comfort of their own homes. The work facility primarily serves a hospice population, which requires a unique sensitivity to their emotional states and the complexities of end-of-life care. Collaborating with a multidisciplinary team of healthcare professionals, you will be part of a supportive network aiming to improve the quality of life for clients and their families.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct comprehensive psychosocial assessments to evaluate clientsโ€™ mental health conditions, strengths, and resources, ensuring that you gather all pertinent information to support effective treatment.
  • Provide individualized therapy to clients using evidence-based treatment modalities such as cognitive-behavioral therapy, solution-focused therapy, and trauma-informed care.
  • Develop and implement tailored treatment plans that include specific goals and interventions, adjusting them as necessary based on ongoing evaluations.
  • Facilitate group therapy sessions, psychoeducation classes, and support groups, fostering an environment of shared learning and support.
  • Collaborate closely with psychiatrists, psychologists, and other healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive and coordinated care for clients.
  • Offer crisis intervention strategies, risk assessment, and safety planning as required, always prioritizing the well-being of clients facing acute challenges.
  • Maintain accurate and timely documentation of client interactions and treatment plans, adhering to ethical and legal standards.
Patient Population / Client Focus

Your primary focus will be on clients within the hospice setting, where you will support individuals and families dealing with terminal illnesses. The care you provide will be integral to helping clients navigate their emotional experiences during a difficult time, assisting them in processing grief and loss, and finding meaning and peace in their final days. Your role will significantly contribute to enhancing their overall quality of life by providing them with necessary support and interventions.

Qualifications
  • A Master's degree in Social Work from an accredited institution.
  • Active state licensure as a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) in California.
  • A minimum of three years of clinical experience in a mental health setting, preferably with exposure to hospice or end-of-life care.
  • Strong proficiency in evidence-based therapeutic modalities relevant to mental health treatment.
  • Exceptional interpersonal skills, effective communication abilities, and strong assessment skills to connect with clients and provide meaningful support.
Preferred Experience
  • Experience working with diverse patient populations, particularly in hospice or palliative care settings.
  • Training in trauma-informed care and end-of-life counseling.
  • Familiarity with digital mental health tools and teletherapy platforms.
Compensation and Benefits

The projected salary for this position ranges from $80,000 to $100,000 annually, commensurate with experience and credentials. In addition to competitive pay, we offer a comprehensive benefits package, including:

  • Health insurance coverage, comprising medical, dental, and vision plans.
  • Retirement plans with employer matching contributions to support your financial future.
  • Generous paid time off, including vacation days, personal days, and paid holidays.
  • Opportunities for continuing education and professional development to enhance your clinical skills and advance your career.
  • Flexible working hours to support work-life balance.
  • A sign-on bonus upon successful hiring.
