• Assess the evolving needs of your patients through regular check-ins and ongoing evaluation to ensure they receive the most appropriate interventions and support.
• Foster open communication with supervisors and interdisciplinary team members, as well as involve family members and guardians in discussions regarding patient progress and individual development plans.
• Develop and maintain a structured calendar of appointments, home visits, and observations to track patient progress effectively.
• Conduct home visits and assessments to ensure that services are delivered in a manner that meets each patient's unique needs, including chart audits and staff interviews.
• Execute the overall program strategy by developing implementation plans, participating in team meetings, and ensuring compliance with established protocols.
• Document progress accurately and consistently by completing monthly and quarterly progress notes to maintain transparency in patient care.
• Coordinate training sessions for team members to strengthen skills in program execution, documentation, and patient engagement.
• Engage in follow-up assessments and home visits to ensure the continuity of care and address any new concerns as they arise.
• Serve as an advocate for patients and a liaison between them and the larger mental health community, aiding in the development of service enhancements.
• Participate in the ongoing refinement of training materials and methodologies to ensure the effectiveness of patient programs.

Our practice serves a diverse clientele, including both adults and youth, who present with a wide range of mental health concerns. As a counselor, you will encounter various issues, including anxiety, depression, trauma, family dynamics, and substance misuse. Your role will be pivotal in helping clients navigate their challenges through evidence-based therapeutic interventions tailored to their individual circumstances.

• A Master's or Doctoral degree in Counseling, Psychology, or a related field is required.
• Active and unrestricted licensure as a Professional Counselor (LPC) in the state of Virginia.
• A minimum of two years of counseling experience in a clinical setting is necessary.
• Specialization in areas such as family therapy, couples therapy, trauma, or substance abuse treatment is highly preferred.
• A comprehensive understanding of legal and ethical standards in clinical practice is essential.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills to build rapport with diverse client populations.
• Proven ability to collaborate effectively within a multidisciplinary healthcare team.
• Proficiency in Electronic Medical Records (EMR) software and other relevant technological tools.

While a minimum of two years in a clinical counseling context is required, we value additional experience in specialized areas of mental health support, including trauma-informed care or crisis management. The position offers a competitive salary ranging from $80,000 to $100,000 annually, depending on experience and caseload.
