Job description

Full-time
Description
Every charter operator wants more trips.
The best ones know that's not enough.
Growth comes from stronger broker relationships. Better pricing decisions. Consistent processes. A team that knows exactly what good looks like. And leaders who can see around corners before problems show up on a dashboard.
That's where this role comes in.
As Assistant Charter Sales Manager, you'll help lead the day-to-day performance of Ventura's charter sales operation. You'll coach and support the sales team, strengthen relationships with key brokers, protect pricing discipline, and help create the systems, processes, and accountability that allow the business to scale.
Some days you'll be reviewing margins and sales metrics. Some days you'll be coaching a team member through a difficult conversation. Some days you'll be on the phone with a broker navigating a flight disruption, protecting a relationship that took years to build.
The aircraft may be the product.
The operation behind it is the business.
What's in it for you
We've built a role for someone who enjoys leading people, solving problems, and helping shape the future of a growing aviation company.
• Base salary of $70,000-$90,000 annually
• Competitive commission plan
• Direct impact on company revenue and growth
• Opportunity to build long-term relationships across the private aviation industry
• Exposure to every aspect of a growing charter operation
• Collaborative leadership team that values initiative and ideas
• Opportunity to grow alongside a company that continues to expand
The benefits matter too:
• Medical, dental, vision, life, and disability coverage
• 401(k) with company match
• HSA and FSA options
• Employee discount marketplace and additional voluntary benefits
• Paid time off and company holidays
How you stand out
We're looking for someone who understands charter aviation, enjoys leading people, and knows how to balance relationships, revenue, and accountability.
• Previous charter sales experience required
• Prior leadership or management experience strongly preferred
• Working knowledge of the wholesale charter market, brokers, operators, and aircraft capabilities
• Strong understanding of pricing strategy, margins, and revenue management
• Ability to coach, mentor, and hold team members accountable
• Strong business acumen and decision-making skills
• Excellent communication and relationship-building abilities
• Comfortable working with data, metrics, scorecards, and reporting
• Ability to navigate difficult conversations with professionalism and confidence
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
Preferred Experience With
• Jet Insight
• Avianis
• FOS
• Excel and reporting tools
• Revenue management and pricing analysis
Your role in action
Strengthen Broker Relationships
• Develop and maintain strategic relationships with Ventura's most important brokers
• Maintain documented broker preferences, buying patterns, and relationship history
• Conduct regular broker outreach and relationship-building activities
• Increase broker engagement and share of wallet over time
Lead The Day-To-Day Sales Operation
• Support coaching, accountability, and development of the sales team
• Assist with team scheduling, coverage planning, and workload management
• Conduct regular one-on-ones and performance discussions
• Help establish and reinforce standards for sales performance and customer service
Protect Revenue & Pricing Discipline
• Support margin growth and revenue generation goals
• Maintain pricing discipline and protect rate integrity
• Review trends, market conditions, and competitive positioning
• Assist leadership with forecasting, reporting, and revenue management initiatives
Build Better Systems
• Help standardize processes across the sales organization
• Drive consistent Jet Insight utilization and data accuracy
• Document workflows, procedures, and best practices
• Identify opportunities to improve efficiency, communication, and execution
Be The Bridge
• Partner closely with Operations, Maintenance, Accounting, and Leadership
• Participate in daily operational discussions
• Communicate proactively when challenges arise
• Help ensure a seamless experience for both customers and internal teams
Why we're amazing
