This role extends well beyond traditional financial reporting. The successful candidate will immerse themselves in the business, develop a deep understanding of clinical research operations, and build scalable financial processes that improve visibility, strengthen controls, optimize cash flow, and eliminate revenue leakage.
The ideal candidate understands that in healthcare services, financial performance is created through operational excellence.
This position requires an individual who is equally comfortable developing long-term financial strategy, partnering with private equity ownership, leading audits, managing lender relationships, improving internal controls, and rolling up their sleeves to solve operational challenges.
Key Responsibilities

  • Identify opportunities to improve profitability, operational efficiency, and scalability.

Revenue Cycle & Operational Finance
  • Develop a deep understanding of clinical trial operations, study lifecycles, and revenue recognition.
  • Learn and leverage the company's Clinical Trial Management System (CTMS/CTMA) as a critical operational and financial tool.
  • Build processes that improve billing accuracy, study reconciliation, collections, and sponsor invoicing.
  • Partner with Operations to minimize revenue leakage and improve cash conversion.
  • Strengthen controls around study closeout, invoicing deadlines, and revenue capture.

Private Equity, Banking & External Relationships
  • Serve as the primary finance contact for private equity ownership.
  • Prepare Board reporting, financial analyses, and investor materials.
  • Manage banking relationships, including revolving credit facilities and cash management.
  • Lead annual audits and coordinate relationships with external auditors, tax advisors, and other professional service providers.
  • Support lender reporting and covenant compliance.

Leadership & Team Development
  • Lead, mentor, and develop the finance organization.
  • Build a culture of accountability, continuous improvement, and collaboration.
  • Evaluate systems, workflows, and organizational structure to support future growth.
  • Recruit and develop high-performing finance talent as the organization scales.

Why Join Us
This is a rare opportunity to help shape the future of a growing clinical research organization.
You will work directly with an engaged CEO and leadership team committed to building a high-performing company grounded in accountability, transparency, operational excellence, and continuous improvement.

  • Experience leading finance within a multi-site healthcare services or similarly complex operating environment.
