Key Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team, which may include psychiatrists, psychologists, and community resources, to ensure comprehensive care and effective treatment outcomes for our clients.
  • Provide crisis intervention and support during mental health emergencies, utilizing de-escalation techniques to maintain a supportive environment.
  • Educate clients and their families about mental health conditions, treatment options, and available community resources to empower them in their journey towards recovery.
  • Maintain accurate and confidential documentation in compliance with HIPAA regulations and ethical standards to ensure client privacy and data integrity.
  • Participate in ongoing professional development, including case conferences and cultural competency training, to stay current with best practices in mental health care.
Patient Population / Client Focus

Your primary focus will be on serving clients from various ethnic and cultural backgrounds, ensuring that each patient receives personalized care that respects their unique experiences and perspectives. Understanding the diverse societal factors that impact mental health in these communities will be crucial to your effectiveness as a therapist.

Qualifications
  • A Masterโ€™s or Doctoral degree in Social Work, Mental Health Counseling, Marriage and Family Therapy, or Psychology from an accredited institution.
  • Current and valid state license as an LCMFT, LMFT, LCPC, or LCSW-C.
  • A solid grasp of mental health disorders and evidence-based treatment approaches with a specific emphasis on cultural competence.
  • Experience in delivering therapeutic services in individual and group formats, demonstrating a commitment to inclusivity and respect for diversity.
  • Strong crisis management skills and the ability to maintain composure and offer support in demanding situations.
