Job description

A Day in Your Life at MKS:
As a Senior Product Compliance Engineer at MKS INC, you will partner with your Global Product Compliance team to evaluate and certify products for compliance to national and international standards, regulations and directives. In this role, you will report to the Director Operations, Compliance located in Andover, MA.
You Will Make an Impact By:

Directing external compliance testing, leading efforts to solve engineering safety issues resulting in compliance testing
Ensuring product designs meet applicable regulation requirements including certification, ongoing testing and processing requirements
Maintaining regulatory approvals and resolving compliance issues with design and manufacturing engineering
Compiling and evaluating test data to determine appropriate limits and variables for process or material specifications
Ensuring products meet required international safety and EMI/EMC standards, such as; IEC 61010-1, IEC 60825-1, EN/IEC 61326-1 and directives 2014/30/EU, 2014/35/EU, 2014/34/EU

Drafting environmental attestations for environmental regulations and directives including RoHS, REACH, EPA TSCA, PFAS, POP, and others

Coordinating documentation and sample requirements with appropriate engineering personnel to ensure timely certification processing

Creating compliance artifacts, test plans, and technical files required for audits and regulatory submissions.

Travel Requirements: Up to 30% of Travel is required.


Skills You Bring:
Requires a Bachelor of Science in Engineering degree or equivalent experience
5 years job-related work experience

Experience with IEC 61010-1 or 62368-1

CE, FCC, KC, RCM, PSE, and others preferred

Experience with regulatory labeling requirements

Excellent project management skills
Very detail oriented
Preferred Skills: (Optional)
Working knowledge of Agile, Oracle and/or SAP

Python Coding
Physical Demands and Working Conditions:

Must be able to remain in a stationary position for 30% of the time

Constantly operates a computer and other office productivity machinery

Compensation and Benefits:

Salary Pay Range: $90,000.00 - 125,000.00 per year. This range is a good faith estimate of the expected salary range for this position, based on a wide range of factors including qualifications, experience and training, operational and business needs and other considerations permitted by law.

Bonus: This position is eligible for a discretionary annual bonus, in an amount to be determined by MKS [or as applicable].
