Position Description: Customer Service Technician

LayerZero Power Systems, Inc. is seeking a skilled and safety-focused Customer Service Technician to support our advanced power distribution equipment. This role involves both on-site and remote service, ensuring the reliability and performance of our systems. The ideal candidate will have strong electrical troubleshooting abilities, a commitment to safety, and a customer-first mindset.

Requirements

PRIMARY DUTIES:

This position includes the following primary duties:

  • Perform startup, commissioning, service, and preventive maintenance on LayerZero equipment:
  • Static transfer switches
  • Power distribution equipment
  • Remote power panels
  • Provide customer support while on site and via email and phone
  • Maintain timely and detailed service records in the LayerZero system
  • Provide emergency response for critical incidents
  • Regularly scheduled time slots for 1-844-855-5977 LayerZero 24/7 incident response

Experience & Skills:

  • Service experience with electric power systems - Required.
  • Electrical and electronic troubleshooting skills - Required.
  • Ability to read diagrams and schematics - Required.
  • Familiarity with programming printed circuit boards via PC based programs - Required.
  • Safety awareness and electrical PPE knowledge - Required.
  • Electronics or electrical training from military service - Preferred.
  • Clean driving record - Required.

Education:

  • Associate degree in electrical field - Preferred.
  • Military training in electronics or electrical systems

WORK LOCATION:

  • Training to be conducted at LayerZero Headquarters in Aurora, Ohio.
  • Field service work is performed at customer sites through the US and Canada. Travel is required.
  • At times, weekends or possibly holiday work will be required.
