Your Title: Manager, Customer Master Platform

Job Location: Westminster, CO, Dayton, OH, Lake Oswego, OR (onsite), or US-remote

Our Department: Corporate

Ready to lead our next generation Customer Master Platform for Trimble?

Are you a technical leader ready to define the future of customer data at a global scale? Trimble is looking for an experienced Manager, Customer Master Platform to lead the design, execution, and continuous evolution of our modern MDM ecosystem. You will head up a team responsible for powering trusted customer identity, clean golden records, and scalable integrations that connect our most critical systems across the enterprise.

About Us

Trimble is a global technology company that connects the physical and digital worlds, transforming the ways work gets done. With relentless innovation in precise positioning, modeling and data analytics, Trimble enables essential industries including construction, geospatial and transportation. Whether it's helping customers build and maintain infrastructure, design and construct buildings, optimize global supply chains or map the world, Trimble is at the forefront, driving productivity and progress.

Trimble empowers customers to drive productivity and progress with connected hardware and software solutions.

About the Role

Trimble is building a unified Customer & Account Master platform to power a true Customer 360 view of our customers. The Manager, Customer Master Platform leads the design, configuration, customization, and delivery of an enterprise-grade Customer Master solution using a commercial MDM platform and other relevant technologies. This is a technical, platform-focused leadership role requiring a strong systems background and the ability to lead a dedicated team of MDM platform engineers and integration engineers.

This role partners closely with Trimble's Data Management Office (TDMO), Enterprise Architecture, and Business Stakeholders to ensure the MDM solution is correctly modeled, governed, and integrated across the enterprise.

Key Exciting Responsibilities

Platform & Technical Leadership

  • Own End-to-End Delivery: Lead the technical design, configuration, and implementation of Trimble's enterprise Customer Master platform using commercial MDM tooling (e.g., Informatica, Reltio, SAP MDG, Oracle CDM, etc.).

  • Engine Optimization: Configure and customize the MDM engine, including customer/account data models, match & merge rules, survivorship and golden record logic, and data quality/validation rules.

  • Integration Architecture: Lead the design and implementation of robust integrations between the MDM platform and upstream source systems (CRM, ERP, ecommerce, onboarding systems) as well as downstream consumer systems (billing, entitlement, analytics, IAM, customer portals).

  • Scalability & Resiliency: Guide the team in building and maintaining custom integrations, adapters, API-first/event-based architectures, and proxy/abstraction layers to decouple consumers from the platform while ensuring high performance and operational readiness.

Delivery & Team Leadership

  • Lead & Mentor: Hire, lead, and grow a high-performing, cross-functional team of MDM platform engineers, integration engineers, and middleware specialists.

  • Agile Execution: Drive sprint planning, delivery commitments, execution quality, and incremental delivery using agile practices.

  • Technical Direction: Provide architecture guidance, conduct design reviews for long-term maintainability, and offer hands-on problem-solving.

Alignment & Business Collaboration

  • TDMO Partnership: Partner closely with Trimble's Data Management Office (TDMO) to translate enterprise governance policies into executable MDM configurations, implementing stewardship workflows, exception handling, data lineage, and auditability requirements.

Note: This role does not define governance policy; it translates governance-approved standards into scalable, production-grade system capabilities.

  • Stakeholder Engagement: Collaborate with business stakeholders to understand customer data definitions, usage, and align customer hierarchies/relationships with business needs.

  • Cross-Platform Alignment: Partner with other Platform & Product teams to support change management, drive platform adoption, and achieve effective downstream integrations.

Essential Skills & Experience

  • Education: Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.

  • Experience: 8+ years of experience in enterprise systems, data platforms, or integration engineering, with 4+ years of dedicated experience delivering and managing enterprise Customer Master / MDM platforms in production.

  • Hands-on Tooling: Proven hands-on experience implementing a commercial MDM tool (Informatica, Reltio, SAP MDG, Oracle CDM, etc.).

  • Core MDM Concepts: Deep understanding of customer master data concepts, golden record vs. source of truth patterns, match/merge/surivorship strategies, and customer hierarchy/relationship modeling.

  • Integration & SDLC: Strong experience with REST APIs, event-driven architectures, middleware, integration patterns, proxy layers, cloud-based platforms, and modern SDLC practices.

  • Leadership: Demonstrated ability to lead and mentor technical teams in complex, global, matrixed delivery environments (including onshore/offshore models).

  • Collaboration: Strong capability to translate ambiguous business requirements into prioritized technical backlogs and drive alignment across cross-functional groups.

Bonus Points For

  • Experience working directly with Data Governance frameworks and stewardship operating models.

  • Exposure to Customer 360, advanced analytics, or downstream data consumption use cases.

  • Familiarity with IAM, entitlement, billing, or customer-facing platforms.

  • Exposure to AI-assisted matching or advanced entity resolution techniques.

  • Experience in highly regulated or large-scale enterprise environments.

Logistics:

  • Location: Westminster, CO, Dayton, OH, Lake Oswego, OR - Onsite, or US-remote

  • Travel Requirement: 10%
