The Power BI Developer – Financial Analytics will analyze existing or proposed systems or designs data processing programs and related procedures to process data. Use a multi-step process from systems investigation, analysis, design, implementation and maintenance to bring new or changed systems online. This is a remote position. US Citizenship is required.

Responsibilities:

  • Design, develop, and maintain Power BI dashboards and reports to support business operations.
  • Ensure data accuracy and consistency across all reports.
  • Analyze data trends and provide insights to improve business performance.
  • Develop automated reporting solutions to streamline data analysis processes.
  • Meet with decision makers, data owners, and end users to define reporting requirements and goals; develop reporting procedures, models, and protocols.
  • Stay current with industry trends and best practices in data visualization and analytics.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

  • Proficiency in Power BI: strong understanding of Power BI and its various features such as data modeling, report development, visualization, and dashboard creation.
  • Excellent Analytical Skills: strong analytical and problem-solving skills and be able to analyze data to identify trends and insights.
  • Strong SQL Skills, including writing and optimizing complex queries and working with large data sets.
  • Strong understanding of DAX (Data Analysis Expressions) and be able to create complex calculations and measures using DAX functions.
  • Data Modeling Skills: proficient in creating data models and have experience with various data modeling techniques such as star and snowflake schemas.
  • Familiarity with Cloud Platforms: experience working with cloud platforms like Azure and be able to use them for data storage, processing, and analysis.
  • Communication and Collaboration Skills: able to work collaboratively with other team members, communicate effectively, and have excellent interpersonal skills.
  • Continuous Learning: committed to continuous learning and keeping up to date with the latest tools, technologies, and industry trends.
  • Good written and oral communication skills and familiarity with word processing, database, spreadsheet programs and integrated software applications are required.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Typically 5+ years with a Bachelors or 3+ with a Masters.
  • Experience with ETL (Extract, Transform, Load) processes and be able to design and implement them using tools like SSIS or Azure Data Factory.
  • Experience with DAX, Azure, SQL.
  • Experience with Data Modeling.
  • Position may require the ability to pass and maintain a Security Clearance.

Compensation Details:

115 - 125K
