Join a high-performing engineering environment where innovation, collaboration, and technical excellence are at the core of every project. In this role, you will lead a talented backend development team focused on building scalable, secure, and high-performing web solutions for international clients across multiple industries. You will combine strategic technical leadership with hands-on development, helping shape architecture decisions, improve engineering practices, and mentor developers to reach their full potential. The position offers the opportunity to work with modern backend technologies, contribute to complex system improvements, and influence long-term technical direction in a fully remote-first setting. If you are passionate about backend engineering, team growth, and delivering reliable software at scale, this role provides an excellent platform for professional impact and career progression.

Accountabilities:
  • Lead and mentor a team of backend developers working primarily with PHP (Symfony) and Golang, supporting technical growth and fostering a collaborative engineering culture.
  • Oversee backend project execution, ensuring timely delivery, code quality, and alignment with business objectives and Agile development processes.
  • Contribute to architectural decisions, coding standards, scalability improvements, and long-term technical strategy across backend systems and APIs.
  • Participate actively in hands-on backend development, including feature implementation, service optimization, refactoring, and troubleshooting production issues.
  • Collaborate closely with frontend, QA, DevOps, analytics, and product teams to ensure seamless project coordination and efficient delivery workflows.
  • Improve CI/CD pipelines, testing practices, documentation standards, and development workflows to enhance engineering efficiency and reliability.
  • Support hiring, onboarding, and performance development initiatives for backend engineers while helping scale the team effectively.

Requirements:

  • 4+ years of professional backend development experience with strong expertise in PHP 7.4+ and Symfony framework development.
  • Hands-on experience developing services and components using Golang within scalable backend environments.
  • Strong understanding of object-oriented programming, software design patterns, clean architecture principles, and backend system design.
  • Proven experience building and maintaining scalable backend services, APIs, and microservices architectures.
  • Solid knowledge of SQL databases such as MySQL and PostgreSQL, including query optimization and data modeling.
  • Experience working with Docker, Kubernetes, cloud infrastructure, Git workflows, and CI/CD pipelines.
  • Familiarity with automated testing methodologies including TDD, DDD, and messaging systems such as RabbitMQ or Kafka.
  • Strong understanding of caching strategies, performance optimization techniques, and API integrations.
  • Demonstrated leadership capabilities with the ability to manage priorities, mentor developers, and drive successful delivery outcomes.
  • Strong written communication skills and conversational English proficiency.
  • Previous experience in technical leadership, system design, or architecture review environments is considered an advantage.
  • Proactive mindset, strong problem-solving abilities, and a collaborative approach to teamwork.

Benefits:

  • Fully remote-first work environment with flexibility to work from anywhere.
  • Competitive compensation package aligned with experience and expertise.
  • Paid time off to support work-life balance and personal well-being.
  • Ongoing learning and development support, including courses, workshops, conferences, and certifications.
  • Home office allowance for equipment and workspace setup.
  • Wellness support including gym memberships, fitness activities, yoga classes, or home workout equipment.
  • Unlimited sick leave policy focused on employee health and recovery.
