Remote Post Merger Integration information

What is a remote post merger integration specialist?

A Remote Post Merger Integration (PMI) specialist is a professional who manages the process of combining two companies after a merger or acquisition, working primarily from a remote location. Their responsibilities include aligning business processes, IT systems, cultures, and organizational structures to ensure a smooth transition and maximize the value of the merger. They coordinate with teams across both organizations to identify synergies, resolve integration issues, and monitor progress, all while leveraging digital tools and communication platforms. Effective remote PMI specialists possess strong project management, communication, and change management skills to navigate the complexities of integration without being physically present.

What are the key skills and qualifications needed to thrive as a remote post merger integration specialist?

To thrive as a Remote Post Merger Integration Specialist, you need expertise in project management, financial analysis, and change management, often supported by a relevant degree and experience with mergers and acquisitions. Familiarity with integration management tools (like Smartsheet or Asana), CRM systems, and ERP platforms is typically required, and certifications such as PMP can be valuable. Strong communication, cross-functional collaboration, and problem-solving skills help navigate cultural differences and align diverse teams. These abilities are crucial for ensuring seamless transitions, achieving synergy targets, and minimizing disruption during the integration process.

What are some common challenges faced by professionals in remote post merger integration roles, and how can they be addressed?

Professionals in Remote Post Merger Integration (PMI) roles often face challenges such as coordinating cross-functional teams across different time zones, ensuring effective communication between merging organizations, and aligning disparate corporate cultures. These challenges can be addressed by leveraging robust project management tools, establishing clear communication protocols, and scheduling regular virtual check-ins with stakeholders. Additionally, focusing on cultural integration through virtual workshops and open forums can help build trust and streamline collaboration in a remote environment.

Job description

Lavendo partners with startups and highโ€‘growth companies to help them hire topโ€‘tier sales, GTM, and technical talent. This role is with one of our clients; we'll share full details about the company and interview process as we get to know you and confirm mutual fit.
About the Company
Our client is a fast-scaling healthcare AI company building voice AI agents that manage the entire patient journey - call center automation, intake, referrals, scheduling, document processing, outreach, and payments. The platform runs on 200M+ patient interactions across 23+ specialties, with deep integrations into major EHR systems. The company just closed a Series C, pushing total funding past $222M at a $1.2B (unicorn) valuation.
The Mission
Healthcare communication is broken - endless hold times, missed appointments, burned-out front-desk staff, frustrated patients. Our client fixes this with AI agents that handle the entire patient journey reliably, at scale, without losing the human touch.
The Opportunity
Our client is growing its team and looking for a Solutions Engineer to sit between GTM and product. The sales engineering function is already taking shape, and you'll join early enough to keep evolving it - refining the playbook, sharpening the tooling, and adapting it as the team scales post-Series C.
What You'll Do
  • Lead technical discovery calls, product demos, and solution scoping with prospects and customers
  • Partner closely with Account Executives on proposals and product-fit conversations
  • Collaborate with product and engineering teams, feeding customer insights back into the roadmap
  • Build enablement content from the ground up - architecture templates, demo guides, and technical collateral
  • Establish sales engineering processes and frameworks where none currently exist

What You Bring
  • 2-5 years in a customer-facing technical role, including pre-sales or solutions engineering
  • Proven experience partnering with AEs, engineering, and design teams; strong demo-building skills
  • Excellent communication skills and comfort translating engineering concepts into go-to-market language
  • Working knowledge of EHR systems and healthcare integrations
  • Experience building 0-to-1 sales enablement content
  • Regular use of AI tools in daily workflow
  • Ability to be on-site 4 days/week in SF or NYC (candidates with 5+ years of enterprise sales engineering experience may be considered for remote)

Key Success Drivers
  • Builder mentality - energized by defining a function rather than following an existing playbook
  • Mission-driven urgency around solving real healthcare communication problems
  • Highly consultative and customer-facing, equally comfortable in a technical deep-dive or an executive conversation
  • Bonus: familiarity with FHIR/HL7 or hospital operations, voice AI/VAPI experience, prior life as a founding SE at an AI-driven B2B SaaS startup, a CS/engineering degree, or hands-on demo-building with Python plus tools like Lovable, Claude, or Cursor

Why Join?
  • Base salary $124K-$212K, with OTE of $155K-$265K, plus equity
  • Full health, dental, and vision coverage
  • 401(k) plan
  • Unlimited PTO
  • Remote-setup stipend and commuter benefits
  • Wellness stipend and professional development budget
  • Meals provided
  • Join a unicorn-stage company ($1.2B valuation, $222M+ raised) at a pivotal growth moment, with outsized influence over how the sales engineering function is built

Interviewing Process
  • Recruiter Screen
  • Hiring Manager Screen
  • Technical Assessment
  • Demo Walkthrough
  • Final Onsite

We are proud to be an equal opportunity workplace and consider all qualified applicants without regard to race, color, religion, national origin, age, sex, marital status, ancestry, disability, genetic information, veteran or military status, gender identity or expression, sexual orientation, or any other characteristic protected by law.
