Position Overview

We invite you to join our dedicated team at The Still Point as a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT) in a rewarding full-time remote role. Work Environment

The Still Point operates primarily in a remote setting, enabling flexibility for our clinicians while ensuring that we maintain warm, supportive, and efficient communication and collaboration among our team members. Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct thorough intake assessments, performing diagnostic evaluations, and creating individualized treatment plans tailored to client needs.
  • Leverage evidence-based therapeutic techniques, such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT), and Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) during individual, couples, and family therapy sessions.
  • Ensure accurate and timely documentation of client interactions in compliance with California laws and insurance regulations using electronic medical record (EMR) systems.
  • Collaborate closely with other therapists, clinicians, and support staff in a team-oriented environment to ensure comprehensive care.
  • Engage in ongoing case consultations to foster clinical development and partake in staff training sessions aimed at refining clinical skills.
  • Adhere to all ethical standards and regulatory requirements, including maintaining confidentiality consistent with HIPAA and BBS regulations.
Patient Population / Client Focus

As an LMFT at The Still Point, you will be serving a wide range of clients from diverse backgrounds, including individuals, couples, and families facing various emotional and behavioral challenges. You will have the unique opportunity to make an impactful difference in the lives of clients from underrepresented communities, including BIPOC, LGBTQIA+, and neurodivergent populations. Your expertise will help clients navigate issues related to mental health, relationship dynamics, life transitions, and trauma recovery.

Qualifications
  • Current and valid LMFT licensure in the state of California.
  • A minimum of 2 years of post-licensure clinical experience preferred; however, exceptional associate-level candidates may be considered.
  • Proficiency in working with culturally diverse populations, demonstrating understanding and sensitivity to various cultural identities.
  • Strong clinical skills in established modalities suitable for the treatment of mental health conditions.
  • Proficiency with electronic medical record (EMR) systems and virtual therapy platforms (such as SimplePractice and Zoom) for effective client management.
Preferred Experience
  • Bilingual or multilingual abilities, particularly in languages such as Spanish, Mandarin, Vietnamese, or Farsi, are highly desirable.
  • Experience in working with various therapeutic modalities tailored to population-specific needs.
