Job description

JOB SUMMARY:

The Operations Project Manager is responsible for coordinating, implementing, and completing projects aligned with company strategy and goals. The role will oversee initiatives to improve internal operations, streamline processes, and introduce new technologies, focusing on enhancing efficiency and driving process improvements across departments.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

Primary Duties and Responsibilities

  • Lead the planning, implementation, and full execution of project tasks.
  • Facilitate the definition of project scope, goals and deliverables. Define project tasks and resource requirements.
  • Develop full-scale project plans and assemble and coordinate project staff.
  • Manage project budget, resource allocation, schedule, and project deadlines.
  • Track project deliverables using appropriate tools.
  • Provide direction and support to a project team to assure quality in project delivery.
  • Constantly monitor and report on progress of the project to executives including costs and schedule.
  • Present reports defining project progress, problems and solutions to both Company executives and clients.
  • Manage project changes and interventions to achieve project outputs.
  • Maintain awareness and education of technologies/platforms in order to oversee technical alignment with overall project goals/strategies.

  

QUALIFYING JOB KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES:

Knowledge:

  • Familiarity with business process improvement, software implementation projects, and organizational change management.
  • Ability to learn and understand business workflows, operational processes, and technology solutions supporting project objectives.
  • Familiarity with project management and process improvement frameworks such as PMI/PMP, Agile, Scrum, Lean, or Six Sigma.
  • Familiarity with healthcare or IT is required

 

Skills:

  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects, priorities, deadlines, and stakeholders simultaneously.
  • Ability to build relationships, facilitate discussions, align stakeholders, and drive accountability across cross-functional teams.
  • Ability to develop project plans, maintain action logs, track risks and dependencies, and ensure timely completion of project milestones

  • Minimum 2-3 years of experience in project coordination, project management, operations, process improvement, or related roles.
  • PMP certification, CAPM certification, Lean Six Sigma certification, or progress toward certification is a plus.
