Job description

Summary

The Senior Manager, Implementation Project Management(Retrofits)leads the Retrofit Project Execution Group and owns the full portfolio of retrofit projects across existing customer sites. Accountable for safe, on-time, on-budget delivery of modifications and upgrades to live, commissioned systems, this leader builds and develops the team, manages executive-level customer relationships, andestablishesthe playbooks and controls that make retrofit delivery repeatable.

Responsibilities

  • Own the retrofit portfolio end to end, including prioritization, resourcing, and schedule and cost reporting across all concurrent projects.

  • Lead, develop, and manage the performance of Site Project Managers and Field Technicians.

  • Serve as the customer relationship owner for project execution and the primary escalation point for site issues.

  • Hold sole cost-control authority for the retrofit portfolio, including setting and managing project budgets, applying stage-gate disciplineappropriate forretrofit work, and enforcing standard financial controls.

  • Partner with Account Management and Sales before contract execution to develop the project schedule, review scope, and confirm delivery and timeline feasibility before terms arefinalized.

  • Establish and continuously improve retrofitdeliveryplaybooks, safety practices, and controls for work performed in live operating environments.

  • Define the separation from, andrequiredcoordination with, the regional execution teams responsible for major projects.

Education and Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Project Management, Business, Operations, ora relatedfield, or equivalent professional experience.

  • Minimum of 8 years of project or program management experience, including delivery within operating industrial, distribution, manufacturing, automation, or similarly complex technical environments.

  • Minimum of 3 years ofpeopleleadership experience with responsibility for developing and managing direct reports.

  • Demonstrated ownership of project schedules, budgets, forecasting, and cost performance across complex, multi-stakeholder projects.

  • Experience managing a portfolio of concurrent projects and balancing resources, priorities, risks, and customer commitments.

  • Strong technical understanding of mechanical and electrical systems, with the ability to direct field activities, assess technical risks, and support informed site-level decisions.

  • Experience managing executive-level customer relationships, project escalations, and change control within live operating environments.

  • Demonstrated ability toestablishor scale a new team, function, operating model, orstandardized project delivery process.

  • Experience applying stage-gate governance, project controls, and structuredrisk-managementpractices.

  • Proficiencywith project and enterprise systems such as Smartsheet, SAP, or comparable tools.

  • Strong communication, leadership, and decision-making skills, with the ability to align cross-functional teams and influence senior stakeholders.

  • PMP,PgMP, oran equivalentproject management credential is preferred.

  • Willingness to travel up to 50% to customer sites.
