In this role, you'll research and advise on complex accounting matters, develop accounting policies and support Pinterest's external reporting. You'll join a small, highly collaborative team with broad exposure across the business and have opportunities to leverage AI and automation to build scalable accounting processes and internal resources.

  • Serve as a technical accounting resource to internal stakeholders, translating complex accounting requirements into practical guidance and providing training to internal teams
  • Partner with Accounting Operations, Finance, Legal, Real Estate, and other teams to advise on transactions and resolve accounting matters
  • Monitor new accounting standards and SEC reporting requirements, assess their financial and operational implications and support the implementation of related policies, processes and controls
  • Leverage AI to accelerate research, synthesize accounting guidance and develop scalable internal resources while applying judgment and verification to maintain accuracy, confidentiality and quality
  • Support the preparation and review of financial statements and related disclosures included in Pinterest's SEC filings, including Forms 10-Q, 10-K and 8-K and the proxy statement

What we're looking for:

  • Bachelor's degree in accounting, a related field or equivalent experience and an active CPA certification
  • Minimum of 5 years of progressive accounting experience, including experience in public accounting and/or at a publicly traded company

  • Experience preparing technical accounting memoranda and policies that clearly document accounting conclusions, supporting guidance and relevant judgments
  • Understanding of SEC reporting requirements, internal controls and SOX 404
  • Clear written and verbal communication skills, including experience explaining complex accounting topics to stakeholders with varying levels of accounting knowledge
  • Experience managing multiple priorities and collaborating across teams in a fast-paced environment with firm reporting deadlines
  • Demonstrated experience using AI to improve the speed, quality or scalability of accounting work, with a thoughtful approach to validating outputs, protecting confidential data and maintaining ownership of final conclusions and deliverables
