Job description

UX Designer

Location: Irving, TX (hybrid remote included travel 1-2 times a month in the US and Canada)

Duration: 6 months

Pay Rate: $50/Hr

Candidates must be local to a Gartner Center of Excellence, such as Stamford CT, Irving TX or Fort Myers FL.

Role is anticipated to be 100% remote but they are still required to be within driving distance to one of the above centers of excellence for consideration.

All Candidates MUST have online portfolios reflecting past designs in Salesforce and other CRM systems for consideration.

Ensure only candidates with online portfolio's that have the applicable work to show are submitted.

Portfolio links should be noted on the top of all resumes and in Supplier Bio's when submitting candidates.

Candidates must be able to support EST Hours for this assignment.

All Candidates will ideally have 3+ years of experience designing web and mobile apps, 5+ years of general design experience.

Candidates submitted should specifically have experience developing for Sales Cloud/Service Cloud. The Manager is looking especially at – "do they know how to lead a user experience project and are they able to coach/train product owners on setting metrics around user experience and what success looks like prior to implementation". Designing to Salesforces abilities and OOB features.

Candidates must have completed BA Degree for consideration.

Job Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand business and solution requirements, and translate them into user-centric experiences for Gartner's 10,000+ sales reps on Salesforce.com
  • Create high-fidelity design artifacts (including wireframes, mockups and prototypes) that reflect thoughtful, scalable and intuitive solutions
  • Champion the correct usage of the Salesforce Lightning Design System across product teams
  • Collaboratively extend the design system with fellow designers and developers to thoughtfully introduce Gartner-specific components and corresponding documentation
  • Deliver comprehensive design specs and work closely with developers to establish ways of working that ensure pixel-perfect implementation
  • Participate in and facilitate design critiques, design thinking workshops and user testing sessions
  • Integrate user feedback, enterprise processes and business requirements into ongoing user experience changes and functionality.
  • Support multiple projects while actively prioritizing workflow based on ROI, and business value.
  • Analyze and incorporate quantitative data and qualitative insights into design.
  • Advocate for the prioritization of design centered changes, refinements, and improvements focusing on user-centric while driving value based on user experience.

Skills

  • 3+ years of experience designing web and mobile apps, 5+ years of general design experience.
  • You have experience driving execution for complex enterprise products across multiple workstreams
  • You are a systems thinker who can turn complex business requirements and technical constraints into scalable, effective solutions
  • You have worked with and contributed to a robust design system leveraged by other designers and developers (Salesforce Lightning Design System experience preferred)
  • You are proficient in Figma, with specific experience building and maintaining component libraries
  • You have strong visual and interaction design skills with an eye for pixel perfect detail
  • You thrive in visual design but also have a solid grasp of UX design activities and can support as needed.
  • Experience designing layouts and user processes in com (Sales Cloud and Service Cloud).
  • Strong brand and user experience instincts; ability to iterate designs and solutions efficiently and intelligently.
  • A solid grasp of user-centered design (UCD), including information architecture, high level processes, app interactions, planning and conducting user research, user testing, A/B testing, rapid prototyping, heuristic analysis, usability, and accessibility concerns.
  • Ability to work with a geographically distributed team to understand detailed requirements and design user experiences that meet client needs and business vision.
  • You know what translates from desktop and what doesn't, and how screens would adapt across different devices.
  • When designing interactions, you should be able to communicate and develop requirements for our technical partners.

Education

  • Bachelor's degree in graphic arts, design, communications, or related field
