Job description

Location: Remote (United States)
Work Model: Remote
Industry: Insurance / InsurTech
Compensation: $120K-$150K base, ~$240K-$300K OTE (uncapped)
About the Company
Our partner is a venture-backed, tech-enabled insurance brokerage serving roughly a thousand commercial clients. Backed by top-tier investors, the team has doubled in the past year and is opening a new full-floor headquarters in Manhattan. They operate in a market measured in the hundreds of billions of dollars and are relaunching their product this quarter.
The Opportunity
This is a closing seat on a team that is scaling fast. Roughly 80% of the role is converting qualified inbound generated by dedicated business development, vertical go-to-market and demand generation teams, with the remaining 20% self-directed prospecting. Deals average $35K-$65K and are trending toward larger, more complex enterprise engagements.
The sale is consultative and relationship-driven rather than transactional. You will be asking business owners to move away from brokers they have worked with for ten to fifteen years, which means the work rewards emotional intelligence, patience and genuine credibility far more than volume tactics. This is an evergreen, high-volume hire on a team that promotes from within.
Responsibilities
  • Own a pipeline of qualified inbound opportunities from first meeting through close
  • Run consultative discovery with business owners and executive stakeholders
  • Displace incumbent providers by building trust and demonstrating clear value
  • Self-source roughly 20% of your own pipeline
  • Maintain accurate pipeline hygiene and forecasting in HubSpot
  • Partner closely with business development, go-to-market and marketing teams on lead quality and messaging
Requirements
  • 3-5 years of quota-carrying closing experience, minimum
  • Track record selling a complex product with multiple stakeholders
  • Comfort closing deals with $50K+ annual contract value
  • Excellent verbal and written communication; high composure with executive buyers
  • Demonstrated job stability, with more than one year in prior roles
  • Experience selling a product that is not a household-name brand
  • Consultative, relationship-driven sales approach rather than a transactional or purely remote one
  • Willingness to work onsite in New York five days per week
