We're looking for a motivated early-career professional to join our team as a Field Sales Associate supporting YMCA, Campus Recreation, Golf & Country Club, and Health Club accounts across Washington, DC, Virginia, and West Virginia. You'll be paired with a seasoned rep who will mentor you as you grow your skills in field sales, customer engagement, and territory management.

This is a remote, field-based role, with an expectation of being on the road and in front of customers 3+ days per week across a dense, high-opportunity territory. Candidates based in the Northern Virginia / DC suburbs are strongly preferred, with other locations in Virginia considered based on overall accessibility to the territory.

As our Field Sales Associate, you'll gain:

As our Field Sales Associate, you will:

  • Support sales efforts across YMCA, Campus Rec, Golf/Country Clubs, and Health Clubs

  • Learn to tailor your approach across public, institutional, and private club environments

  • Assist in navigating multi-stakeholder buying processes (operators, boards, ownership groups)

  • Support facility planning and capital project discussions

  • Stay current on market trends and competitive dynamics

  • Build relationships across a geographically diverse, high-activity territory

What Life Fitness / Hammer Strength is looking for in our Field Sales Associate:

  • 1-2 years in sales or customer-facing roles (preferred)

  • Strong communication skills and ability to adapt across different customer types

  • Interest in fitness, hospitality, or membership-based environments

  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced, relationship-driven, field-based role

  • Based within the region, with the ability to travel consistently throughout DC, VA, and WV

At Life Fitness / Hammer Strength, we believe in taking care of our team with a comprehensive total rewards package that includes competitive pay and a range of valuable benefits. The salary range for this position, intended for U.S. applicants, is $47,500 - $64,800 annually.The actual salary will vary based on applicant's education, experience, skills, and abilities. The salary range reflected is based on a primary work location of Washington, DC and the actual salary may vary for applicants in a different geographic location.This position is eligible to participate in Life Fitness / Hammer Strength's Sales Incentive Plan with monthly commission eligibility, in addition to base salary. The amount of any commission and bonus varies based on attainment of individual performance goals and other relevant factors, subject to the terms and conditions of the applicable incentive plan.This position is eligible to receive a vehicle allowance to offset the costs of using a personal vehicle for business related purposes.This position is eligible to receive a mobile allowance to offset the costs of using a personal cell phone for business related purposes.

Life Fitness / Hammer Strength offers a comprehensive package of benefits for full-time team members, including, but not limited to: a 401(k) savings plan with 4% employer match; medical, dental and vision insurance, parental, medical and military leaves of absence, paid time off, including 12 paid holidays throughout the calendar year, paid vacation days beginning at 13 days annually, paid sick leave as provided under state and local paid sick leave laws, company paid short-term disability and optional long-term disability, health savings account, health care and dependent care reimbursement accounts, employee and dependent life insurance and supplemental life and AD&D insurance, hospital indemnity; identity protection, legal services, adoption assistance, tuition assistance, commuter benefits, employee discounts, and an employee assistance program that includes free counseling sessions.
