Job description

Overnight Remote Staff Pharmacist - IL
Location: Remote, anywhere within the US
Schedule: Potential for a 7 on/7 off schedule with shifts including evenings, overnights, and weekend shifts.
  • Available shift is Wednesday through Tuesday from 11PM-9AM CST, with possibility of earlier or later shifts.
  • This is a part time role with the potential to transition to a full time role

Licensure Requirements: Active IL pharmacist license required; willing to obtain additional licenses (IA, NE, HI)
About the Role
Join our telepharmacy team as a Remote Staff Pharmacist, supporting multiple hospitals across several states. You'll leverage technology and clinical expertise to verify medication orders, support care teams, and ensure safe, high-quality patient care from a fully remote environment.
What You'll Do
Telepharmacy Services
• Complete remote order entry, order verification, and drug verification.
• Transitions of care medication reconciliation.
• Navigate multiple pharmacy information systems (PIS).Clinical Support
• Provide drug information and therapeutic guidance to providers.
• Assess medication appropriateness, dosing (including renal/hepatic adjustments), interactions, and compatibilities.
• Support specialized populations such as pediatrics, geriatrics, pregnant/nursing patients, HIV, and those with renal/hepatic impairment.
• Maintain knowledge of IV therapies, TPN, cardiac/narcotic drips, IV antibiotics, chemotherapy, and more.
Operational Excellence
• Document interventions and clinical actions accurately and promptly.
• Communicate effectively with physicians and nurses.
• Ensure compliance with HIPAA, pharmacy laws, and client policies.
Technical & Professional Skills
• Work across VPNs, automation systems, and multiple PIS platforms.
• Use applications such as Google Suite/Microsoft Office and Snagit.
• Maintain required licenses, credentials, and system access.
Training & Performance
• Participate in ongoing training (clinical, PIS, and policy updates).
• Meet productivity and quality standards.
Qualifications
• Bachelors in Pharmacy required; PharmD preferred
• At least 1 year of hospital pharmacy experience required
• Active and in good standing IL state pharmacist license required
• Willingness to obtain additional state licenses (IA, NE, HI)
• Strong clinical knowledge and comfort working across multiple systems
• Ability to work hours that may include evenings, overnights, weekends, and holidays
If you will be working at home occasionally or permanently, the internet connection must be obtained through a cable broadband or fiber optic internet service provider with speeds of at least 10Mbps download/5Mbps upload.
For this position, we anticipate offering an hourly rate of 54 - 91 USD / hourly, depending on relevant factors, including experience and geographic location.
This role is also anticipated to be eligible to participate in an annual bonus plan.
