Position Overview

This position can be based on-site at our office in Denver, CO, Ashburn, VA, Sterling, VA, Santa Clara, CA in alignment with our flexible work policy. (3 days on site required, 2 days flexible) or based remotely.

Essential Job Functions

  • Contribute to cross-discipline coordination efforts and evaluate design concepts andoptionstudies to support the development of adaptable and cost-effective prototype solutions

  • Collaborate with internal cross-functional teams(Design Engineering, New Site Development, Sustainability, Construction, Operations) to deliverintegrated and optimized design solutions

  • Coordinate with architectural counterparts in North America (NA), Europe, Middle East, Africa (EMEA), and Asia Pacific (APAC) to ensure product coordination and viability across the global portfolio

  • Support the integration of sustainable strategies and building systems into designs to align with corporate ESG and decarbonization goals

  • Prepare clear design presentations and contribute to internal and external design reviews

  • Assistwith documentation handoff and coordination with regional teams and external consultants for site adaptation of global prototypes

  • Lead the Architecture, Structural Engineering and Physical Security domains within theData CenterEngineering System, ensuring they support a consistent and scalable global product platform

  • Set and evolve standards, reference designs and approved variants that improve quality,repeatabilityand speed across regions

  • Provide technical leadership on key design decisions relating to spatial planning, structural integration, campus planning, securecirculationand access strategy.

  • Drive product-level solutions that support constructability, resilience,prefabricationand otherindustrializeddelivery methods.

  • Collaboratewith Design Engineering, New Site Development, Sustainability, Construction,Operationsand regional teams to deliver integrated, practical solutions.

  • Coordinate with global and regional counterparts to ensure standardsremainviablein-region and regional learning informs platform improvements.

  • Embed physical security requirements into design solutions early, in coordination with relevant technical and operational stakeholders.

  • Strengthen closed-loop learning by translating delivery,commissioningand operational feedback into updates to standards and reference designs.

  • Lead, develop and mentor team members, building capability,consistencyand technical credibility across the function.

Job Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Architecture

  • 10+ years of architectural design experience, preferably in mission-critical, industrial, or high-performance building types

  • Proficient in Revit; experiencewith AutoCAD, Bluebeam, Microsoft Office Suite, PowerPoint, and Adobe InDesign.

  • Strong knowledge of codes,permittingprocess, cross-discipline coordination, including Structural, Civil, MEP, Fire and Life Safety, Physical Security and Sustainability

  • Strong design, technical, and problem-solving skills with attention to detail and a passion for innovation.

  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills; ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, global team environment.

  • National and international travel isrequiredand is expected to be 10-15% and may increase over time

Desired Qualifications

  • MastersDegree in Architecturaldiscipline

  • Professional Architect license

  • Hyperscale data center experience across design, delivery, commissioning, operations, or productization.

  • Experience in global, multi-region organizationsoperatingwith common standards and governed variants.

  • Familiarity with industrialized delivery concepts such as evidence-based readiness, repeatable handover practices, and continuous improvement loops.

Additional Details

  • Salary Range: $160,000-$180,000 + Bonus (this range is based on Colorado market data and may vary in other locations)

  • This position is eligible for company benefits including but not limited to medical, dental, and vision coverage, life and AD&D, short and long-term disability coverage, paid time off, employee assistance, participation in a 401k program that includes company match, and many other additional voluntary benefits.

  • Compensation for the role will depend on a number of factors, including your qualifications, skills, competencies, and experience and may fall outside of the range shown.
