Job Description:

Tolleson, AZ | Part-Time | 2026-2027 School Year |

About the Role

In this role, you'll work closely with a Health Aide supporting one student with their medical and health needs throughout the school day.

You'll collaborate with the student's family, school staff, and educational team to ensure the student receives safe, consistent, and individualized medical care. This is a great opportunity for nurses interested in pediatrics, special education, or providing one-on-one care in a school-based environment.

Why Join Us

  • Competitive pay

  • Consistent school-year schedule

  • Meaningful, student-centered work with strong district support

  • W-2 employment with liability insurance included

  • 401(k) with company match

  • Reimbursement for licensure, CEUs, and professional expenses

  • Referral bonuses

What You'll Do

  • Train and mentor the Health Aide who provides day-to-day 1:1 care and medical support to the student, ensuring they are fully prepared to manage the student's health needs

  • Review and reinforce the student's individualized healthcare plan, medication administration procedures, and established medical protocols with the Health Aide

  • Conduct initial hands-on training and onboarding to ensure the Health Aide's readiness to respond to the student's medical needs throughout the school day, including during school transportation

  • Ensure the Health Aide is prepared to recognize and respond appropriately to medical emergencies and changes in the student's condition

  • Following initial training and onboarding, transition to a remote consultation model, providing guidance and support by phone

  • Provide ongoing remote support of approximately 2 hours per month, including check-ins with the Health Aide, guidance on care delivery, documentation review, and compliance support

  • Review documentation of nursing services and student health information for accuracy and completeness

  • Communicate with the student's family, school staff, and healthcare providers as appropriate

  • Collaborate with special education staff and the student's educational team to support the student's care plan

  • Maintain confidentiality and follow all applicable health and safety requirements

Estimated Time Commitment: Approximately 20-25 hours for the remainder of the school year, front-loaded during initial training/onboarding with lighter ongoing monthly consultation afterward.

What We're Looking For

  • Active Arizona RN license

  • Ability to pass fingerprinting and background check

  • Pediatric, school nursing, special education, or 1:1 nursing experience preferred

  • Strong clinical judgment and ability to respond calmly to changing medical needs

  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills

  • Passion for supporting students and helping them safely access their education
