The Tarrant Post-Acute Care Practice Center is currently seeking a dedicated and compassionate Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor (LCPC) to join our remote team in Germantown, Maryland. • Conduct thorough trauma-informed mental health assessments to evaluate clients' trauma history, which informs the formulation of appropriate and individualized treatment approaches.
• Collaboratively develop and execute personalized treatment plans that focus on trauma recovery and resilience-building strategies for each client.
• Utilize evidence-based therapeutic interventions, including Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) and Trauma-Focused Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT), to facilitate healing processes.
• Deliver both individual and group therapy sessions, fostering safe environments where clients can process their trauma, explore coping strategies, and enhance their emotional well-being.
• Work in tandem with psychiatrists, social workers, and other health care professionals to ensure comprehensive, integrated care for all patients.
• Provide immediate crisis intervention and support during trauma-related emergencies, showcasing empathy and expert crisis management skills.
• Educate clients and their families about trauma responses, coping mechanisms, and available resources to aid in the healing journey.
• Maintain meticulous and confidential documentation to comply with all legal and ethical standards in mental health practice.
• Participate actively in case consultations, team meetings, and continuing education opportunities focused on trauma-informed care practices.
• Stay abreast of the latest research and best practices in trauma therapy to ensure that our clients receive the highest level of care.

In this role, you will primarily work with individuals who have experienced varying degrees of trauma, including emotional, psychological, and physical trauma. Our client population is remarkably diverse, representing a wide range of backgrounds and life experiences. The holistic approach we take in understanding our clients’ needs ensures that each person receives tailored care that promotes lasting recovery.

• A Master's or Doctoral degree in Mental Health Counseling from an accredited institution.
• Current and valid licensure as an LCPC in the state of Maryland.
• A strong foundational understanding of trauma-related disorders and trauma-informed methodologies.
• Proficiency in the use of electronic health record (EHR) systems and relevant computer applications.
• Ability to demonstrate strong interpersonal and communication skills, delivering care with compassion and a non-judgmental attitude.
• Competence in managing high-stress situations calmly and effectively.
• Willingness to collaborate within a multidisciplinary team to achieve optimal patient outcomes.

• At least 2 years of post-licensure clinical experience is preferred, showcasing effective trauma-focused therapy delivery.
• Experience working with diverse populations and demonstrating cultural competence in treatment approaches.
• Interest and willingness to work with couples, with training provided for those new to this setting.

This position offers a competitive salary range of USD 70,000 to 110,000 per year, commensurate with experience and qualifications. In addition to a base salary, we provide guaranteed pay with annual increases and opportunities for bonuses.
