Position Overview:
Praescient Analytics is seeking a Senior Systems Architect to support a Task Order with the Defense Counterintelligence and Security Agency (DCSA). This individual will be responsible for the design, integration, and optimization of the OPIS system architecture, ensuring scalability, performance, and alignment with DoD Software Factory and cloud standards.
*U.S. Citizenship is required.*
Key Responsibilities:
  • Design and maintain system architecture across application, data, and infrastructure layers
  • Ensure system scalability, reliability, and performance in a cloud-based (AWS) environment
  • Lead architectural decisions for DevSecOps pipelines and CI/CD integration
  • Support system integration across components (IWA, DoR, FDR) and external systems
  • Guide modernization efforts, including data migration and system transition activities
  • Ensure architecture supports automated testing, performance requirements, and security compliance
  • Maintain architecture documentation and ensure alignment with Government standards

Required Qualifications:
  • Active Top Secret clearance with SCI eligibility
  • CompTIA Security+ certification
  • 10+ years of experience in systems architecture or engineering
  • Experience designing and implementing AWS-based architectures, including high-availability and scalable systems
  • Experience designing enterprise-scale applications
  • Experience with cloud architectures (AWS or equivalent)
  • Experience with Java-based systems and distributed architectures

Desired Qualifications
Experience with:
  • Document management systems (FileNet or similar)
  • Batch processing frameworks (Spring Batch)
  • Microservices or modular architectures
  • Experience supporting DoD Software Factory environments
  • Agile development environments
  • Experience with data migration and legacy system transition
  • AWS architecture patterns (multi-tier, microservices, event-driven systems)
  • Cloud-native design (auto-scaling, fault tolerance, distributed systems)
  • Infrastructure-as-Code (e.g., Terraform, CloudFormation)
