What is a remote pet insurance?

A Remote Pet Insurance job involves working from home or another remote location to assist pet owners with insurance-related services. Responsibilities may include processing claims, providing policy information, customer support, or sales. These roles are often found with pet insurance providers and require strong communication, organizational, and analytical skills. Some positions may also involve evaluating medical records or coordinating with veterinarians.

What are the key skills and qualifications needed to thrive in remote pet insurance, and why are they important?

To excel in a remote pet insurance role, you generally need experience with insurance processes, customer service skills, and a good understanding of pet health and care, often supported by a background in insurance, veterinary studies, or related fields. Familiarity with CRM software, insurance claim systems, and secure digital communication tools is highly valuable. Strong communication, patience, and problem-solving abilities are essential for effectively assisting clients and resolving issues. These competencies enable professionals to provide efficient, accurate support and build trust with policyholders, which is vital in a remote, client-focused environment.

What are some common challenges faced by remote pet insurance professionals, and how can they be addressed?

Remote pet insurance professionals often manage a high volume of client inquiries and claims while maintaining accuracy and empathy, which can be challenging without in-person interaction. Staying organized, maintaining up-to-date knowledge of policy details, and using digital collaboration tools can help overcome these obstacles. Open communication with team members and ongoing professional development are important for tackling unique or complex cases. Many employers also provide training resources and regular virtual meetings to support staff, foster teamwork, and ensure smooth workflow in a remote environment.

Job description

About ABC Legal Services:

ABC Legal Service is proud to be the national leader in service of process. We are a team of 1,000 and growing, with offices in Los Angeles, Oklahoma City, Phoenix, Brooklyn, Chicago, Washington DC, and more. Seattle is our home and headquarters. We've been successful in this unique business for over 30 years and continue to advance our technology and business processes to stay years ahead of the competition. Our focus is to expand our technology lead, acquire and integrate less efficient competitors, and tap into new segments through an integrated inbound marketing and sales approach.

Job Overview:

As a Process Server Performance Specialist, you'll own the performance of our process server network — identifying underperforming servers, diagnosing why, and driving measurable improvement through coaching, clear expectations, and accountability. This isn't a quality-check or audit role; it's a hands-on performance-management role focused on getting servers back on track and keeping them there. You'll work daily with performance data, have direct conversations with servers, and partner closely with Recruiting and Leadership to make sure coverage and performance stay aligned.

This position is remote, but you must be located in Oregon.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Own a portfolio of underperforming process servers, tracking their metrics daily and identifying trends before they become bigger problems
  • Reach out proactively to disengaged or underperforming servers to understand blockers and get jobs moving again
  • Deliver direct, actionable coaching and feedback — set clear expectations and specific timeframes for improvement
  • Hold servers accountable to performance benchmarks, following through consistently when expectations aren't met
  • Field questions and resolve day-to-day blockers that are preventing servers from completing jobs on time
  • Create a positive, engaging experience for servers even in tough performance conversations
  • Track and escalate recurring or systemic blockers to leadership
  • Partner with Recruiting when a server's territory needs additional coverage due to performance gaps

Qualifications:

  • Experience coaching, training, or managing performance (formal performance-management experience a plus)
  • High school diploma or GED required
  • Familiarity with legal processes is a plus
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including comfort with direct/difficult conversations
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel)
  • Strong analytical skills — comfortable pulling insight from data and translating it into action

We know that a company's success starts with its employees. We also know that an individual's success starts with the right career opportunity. Join our team today!

Benefits:

  • Health, Dental, Vision insurance
  • 401(k) with company matching
  • Paid time off
  • 7 Paid company holidays
  • 4 Floating holidays per-year
  • Life Insurance and AD&D Insurance
  • Long Term Disability
  • Health Care Reimbursement Flexible Spending Account
  • Dependent Care Flexible Spending Account
  • EAP (Employee Assistance Program)
  • Pet Insurance

Pay Range: $17.00 to $17.00 per hour

Schedule - Full-Time 8am-5pm PST
