Job description

Title: Dynatrace Engineer
Location: Remote

The Mission
ConglomerateIT needs a Dynatrace Engineer to take full ownership of observability across our applications, services, and underlying infrastructure. The goal is simple: keep platforms healthy and fast while flipping incident response from reactive firefighting to proactive prevention โ€” surfacing problems before the business ever feels them. Expect to embed directly with operations, application, infrastructure, and business stakeholders while leading the alerting, tracing, logging, and monitoring layers that hold the environment together.

Core Requirements (Non-Negotiable)

  1. Hands-on troubleshooting of performance and alerting issues โ€” 5+ years
  2. Hands-on Dynatrace Query Language (DQL) โ€” 5+ years
  3. Hands-on Dynatrace configuration and installation โ€” 5+ years

Where You'll Focus

  • Team up with operations, application, and infrastructure groups to set and uphold SLIs and SLOs.
  • Own logging, tracing, and monitoring workflows, building them into a proactive incident management practice.
  • Write and refine Dynatrace Query Language (DQL) to pull custom monitoring insights matched to the environment.
  • Hunt down and clear platform performance bottlenecks and alerting problems the moment they appear.
  • Shape and operate observability strategies that reach across service, application, and infrastructure layers.
  • Install and configure Dynatrace by hand across enterprise systems โ€” from first setup through day-to-day management.

Bonus Strengths

  • Advanced Dynatrace APM proficiency
  • Proven history setting SLIs/SLOs across IT and business domains alike
  • Solid grasp of infrastructure and performance engineering architecture
  • Familiarity with Site Reliability Engineering (SRE) principles

The Profile We're After
A hands-on-keyboard infrastructure engineer with deep technical roots in systems integration and platform performance. You've logged serious hours configuring Dynatrace ecosystems and pair that with crisp analytical judgment when the troubleshooting gets messy. Cross-functional work is your comfort zone, and a strong SRE foundation is what lets you operate at your best.
