This role offers a unique opportunity to provide therapeutic support to individuals struggling with substance use and mental health issues in a detox center environment. With an attractive salary range of USD 80,000 to 100,000 annually, this position is poised for a professional looking to make a meaningful impact.

About the Organization

Active Minds Behavioral Counseling is an outpatient mental health clinic focused on delivering high-quality, accessible mental health services to clients across various demographics. Our mission is to create an inclusive and supportive atmosphere that fosters healing and growth. We are committed to addressing a diverse array of mental health conditions, including trauma, anxiety disorders, and substance use challenges, through evidence-based practices and individualized care plans.

Work Environment

This remote position allows for a flexible work-life balance while serving clients within our specialized detox center. Team members collaborate through secure digital platforms to ensure continuity of care and effective communication. Our culture emphasizes collaboration, ongoing training, and professional development, ensuring our staff remains at the forefront of mental health practices.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct comprehensive psychosocial assessments to evaluate clients' mental health concerns, strengths, and available resources.
  • Utilize evidence-based treatment modalities, such as cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT) and solution-focused therapy, to provide individual, family, and group therapy sessions.
  • Develop and implement individualized treatment plans tailored to each client's unique needs, setting achievable goals and clear intervention strategies.
  • Collaborate effectively with psychiatrists and other healthcare professionals to ensure coordinated and comprehensive care.
  • Demonstrate strong crisis intervention skills, which may involve conducting risk assessments and developing safety plans for at-risk clients.
  • Facilitate psychoeducation and support groups, helping clients understand their issues and potential coping mechanisms.
  • Maintain accurate, timely documentation of client interactions and treatment progress in compliance with ethical and legal standards.
  • Participate in regular clinical meetings to discuss client progress, share insights, and seek feedback for continuous improvement.
Patient Population / Client Focus

In this role, you will engage with a diverse clientele, including individuals experiencing substance use disorders, depression, anxiety, and trauma-related disorders. Our clients are seeking support in a safe, therapeutic environment, and your expertise will guide them on their path to recovery and mental wellness.

Qualifications
  • A Masterโ€™s degree in Social Work from an accredited institution is a mandatory requirement.
  • Active state licensure as a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) is essential for this position.
  • A minimum of two years of experience in mental health or outpatient settings, particularly within detox or substance use programs, is required.
  • Proficient knowledge of evidence-based therapeutic modalities and treatment approaches that enhance client recovery and resilience.
  • Strong interpersonal, communication, and assessment skills are critical for establishing rapport with clients and collaborating with team members.
Preferred Experience

While not mandatory, experience in substance abuse treatment or working within detox settings is highly desirable. Familiarity with multi-disciplinary treatment approaches and community resources to aid in patient recovery can greatly enhance your effectiveness in the role.

Compensation and Benefits

Active Minds Behavioral Counseling offers a competitive salary ranging from USD 80,000 to 100,000 per year, plus additional performance-based bonuses. Our benefits package includes comprehensive health coverage (medical, dental, and vision), a retirement plan with employer matching, paid time off for vacation, personal days, and holidays, as well as funding for ongoing professional development and training.
