Work Environment

As a mental health counselor with Elysian Fields, you will operate in a supportive telehealth setting. This arrangement allows for flexible scheduling and eliminates commuting challenges, making it easier to balance personal commitments. Our telehealth platform is comprehensive, providing you with the tools needed to conduct effective virtual therapy sessions. Key Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive intake assessments to develop personalized treatment plans that align with each client's unique needs and goals.
• Facilitate individual and group therapy sessions, addressing a variety of mental health challenges such as anxiety, depression, trauma, relationship issues, and stress management.
• Collaborate with other healthcare providers and professionals to ensure integrated care, promoting well-rounded support systems for clients.
• Engage in continuous professional development and educational opportunities to stay on top of industry best practices and enhance therapeutic techniques.
• Contribute valuable feedback and innovative ideas to improve counseling services, ensuring that our programs meet the evolving needs of our clients and the community.

Patient Population / Client Focus

This role entails working with a diverse clientele, encompassing individuals from various backgrounds and age groups. You will have the opportunity to contribute to the therapeutic journeys of clients facing a wide range of emotional challenges. By adopting a client-centered approach, you will ensure that each therapy session is tailored to the specific circumstances and aspirations of the individual or group.

Qualifications

• A Master’s degree in Psychology, Social Work, Mental Health Counseling, Marriage and Family Therapy, or a closely related field from an accredited institution.
• An active license in accordance with state regulations, specifically an LMFT, LMHC, or LCSW.
• At least 2 years of experience working directly with clients facing mental health challenges.
• Exceptional interpersonal skills and the ability to establish trust and rapport quickly with clients.
• Familiarity with electronic medical record (EMR) systems is preferred but not necessary; training will be provided.

Preferred Experience

We value candidates with a history of working in telehealth environments and those who demonstrate cultural competence in addressing the needs of clients from diverse backgrounds. Experience in group therapies or specialized treatment programs is advantageous.
