Peer Support Behavioral Center is seeking dedicated and compassionate Licensed Professional Counselors (LPC) to join our team in a full-time or part-time capacity. This position offers a remote work setting, providing flexibility and a healthy work-life balance. While our primary facility serves as a hub for various health services, the LPC will primarily engage with patients via teletherapy appointments. • Collaborate with primary care providers to identify, treat, and manage patients with mental health and psychosocial issues, enhancing the overall effectiveness of the care team.
• Conduct comprehensive patient intakes, focusing on diagnostic assessments and functional evaluations, while developing tailored treatment goals and plans to guide each individual’s progress.
• Provide brief, focused therapy interventions aimed at addressing immediate mental health needs and creating pathways for further treatment if necessary.
• Advise primary care providers on patient management, determining which patients require specialized mental health care and facilitating appropriate referrals to outside specialists.
• Initiate follow-up contacts to monitor patient progress, offering continued support and modifications to treatment plans as warranted.
• Design and implement relapse prevention strategies to help patients maintain stability in their mental health and lifestyle choices.
• Identify at-risk patients and collaborate with the healthcare team to develop preventive measures that mitigate worsening conditions.
• Coordinate care delivery for behavioral health services, ensuring seamless integration between primary care and other treatment providers as permitted by patient consent.
• Document patient progress meticulously in treatment charts, maintaining accurate records that align with clinical standards and organizational policies.
• Provide education to patients on self-management techniques and coping strategies, empowering them to take an active role in their treatment journey.
• Engage with clinic management and colleagues to offer insights on service delivery and program evaluation to enhance care outcomes.
• Assist patients in adhering to prescribed medical treatments and offer strategies to manage any medication-related side effects.
• Uphold the highest standards of ethical conduct in all interactions and professional practices.
• Perform additional duties as assigned to support the overarching goals of the clinic.

Your role as an LPC at Peer Support Behavioral Center involves working with a diverse client population, including individuals experiencing anxiety, depression, trauma, and other mental health challenges. Your interventions will address not only emotional and psychological needs but also the social determinants of health that impact overall well-being. By fostering a supportive therapeutic environment, you will help patients navigate personal challenges and promote healthier living practices.

• A Master’s Degree in Clinical Counseling or a related field is required.
• Possession of a valid and current LPC (Licensed Professional Counselor) License is a must.
• Comprehensive knowledge of mental health assessment processes, treatment planning, and psychotherapeutic approaches.
• Familiarity with developmental psychopathology and effective therapeutic methods, including family therapy and group sessions.
• Strong proficiency in English; bilingual capability in Spanish is preferred but not mandatory.
• Sound mental and physical health to meet the demands of this dynamic role.
• A substantial understanding of community resources and their application in patient care.

• Experience working in a community health setting or with integrated care models is advantageous.
• Demonstrated ability in providing virtual counseling services is highly valued.

This LPC position offers a competitive salary range between USD 87,000 and 105,000 annually, commensurate with experience and qualifications.
