Peer Support Behavioral Center is seeking a dedicated and skilled Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) to join our team in a remote capacity. Peer Support Behavioral Center is a multifaceted healthcare clinic located in Fort Worth, Texas. This position is primarily remote, allowing you the flexibility to work from home while still being an integral part of our outpatient office team. You will operate as part of a collaborative team of healthcare professionals dedicated to the holistic treatment of patients. Your contributions will extend beyond individual counseling sessions, as you collaborate closely with primary care providers within our clinic to manage and coordinate patient care.

• Work collaboratively with primary care providers to identify, treat, and manage mental health and psychosocial issues, ensuring that patients receive comprehensive care.
• Conduct thorough patient intakes, focusing on diagnostic assessments and functional evaluations, while making informed recommendations regarding treatment goals and plans.
• Provide brief, effective mental health interventions for patients requiring immediate support and guidance.
• Determine whether patients can be effectively treated within the primary care setting or if referrals to specialized mental health services are more appropriate.
• Initiate follow-up communication to monitor patient progress and adjust treatment plans as necessary.
• Develop relapse prevention strategies for at-risk patients and support them in maintaining stability in their mental health.
• Document detailed accounts of patient progress in treatment charts, ensuring that all information is accurate and up-to-date.
• Guide patients in adopting healthier lifestyle choices and coping strategies, promoting overall wellness and self-management.
• Provide insights and recommendations to clinic management regarding behavioral services and program evaluation.
• Assist patients in adhering to any medical treatment plans prescribed by primary care providers, including strategies for managing medication side effects.
• Comply with the Code of Ethical Conduct for Clinical Professionals, maintaining a high standard of integrity and professionalism in all interactions.
• Perform other duties as assigned by management to support the clinic's goal of improving mental health outcomes.

Your work will primarily be focused on a diverse patient population, including individuals experiencing a range of mental health challenges. This may encompass youth, adults, and families grappling with various socio-emotional issues. By providing culturally competent care and utilizing a strengths-based approach, you will help empower clients to participate actively in their treatment and recovery processes.

• A minimum of a Master's Degree in Clinical Counseling or a related field is required to ensure a strong foundational knowledge of mental health practices.
• Possession of a current and valid Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) license.
• In-depth understanding of mental health assessment methodologies, treatment planning procedures, and psychotherapeutic techniques.
• Familiarity with DSM-IV diagnoses and the principles of behavioral therapy.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with an emphasis on active listening and empathy.
• Both mental and physical resilience to navigate the demands of therapeutic work.
• A comprehensive understanding of community resources, enabling you to connect clients with necessary support systems.

• Experience working in a multidisciplinary team setting, particularly in primary care or integrated behavioral health environments.
• Proficiency in bilingual communication, specifically English-Spanish, is preferred to better serve our diverse client base.
• Familiarity with electronic health record (EHR) systems to efficiently monitor and document patient progress.

This full-time position offers a competitive annual salary ranging from USD 87,000 to 105,000, commensurate with experience and qualifications.
