Job description

Collaborating Physician Psychiatry in Kansas Locums Job

Seeking a Kansas-licensed Psychiatrist to serve as a rendering/supervising provider for new community-based behavioral health organization. This is a fully remote role with very limited workload, approximately 5 hours per month to start. Board certification in Psychiatry preferred but not required. Organizations are looking to move quickly once the right fit is identified.

Responsibilities include:
• Reviewing more complex cases as needed
• Reviewing and signing care plans and progress notes
• Providing oversight for Community Psychiatric Support and Treatment (CPST), Peer Support, and related behavioral health services
• Supporting youth and adults with SED/SPMI needs
• Assisting with clinical and compliance oversight during organizational startup and credentialing

Additional Details:
• No direct patient care expected
• No prescribing responsibilities
• No controlled substances
• Fully remote
• Small patient population, likely fewer than 100 individuals initially

Requirements:
• Active Kansas license in good standing
• Active individual NPI
• Eligible and willing to enroll with Kansas Medicaid/KMAP and KanCare MCOs
• Willing to serve as the rendering/supervising provider for CPST and Peer Support services
• Clean exclusion/background status
• Willing to complete any required Kansas/KDADS trainings
