Job Summary

The Adult Oncology Order Set Coordinator is responsible for developing and managing the MGHCI content for the adult oncology research and standard of care Beacon protocols (PRLs).
Principle duties and responsibilities
-Coordinates Beacon Protocols (PRLs) throughout the life-cycle of use.
-Utilizes content obtained from clinical trial documents, NCCN guidelines, and local subject matter experts to create, update, and maintain research and standard of care Beacon Protocols (PRLs).
-Supports validation process of Beacon Protocols (PRLs).
-Assists with clinical trial and standard of care protocol review, initiation, closure processes, and education.
-Participates in the training of new members of the Subject Matter Experts (SMEs) team.
-Works closely with members of Pharmacy, Nursing, Medicine, and Clinical Trial Departments as well as EPIC/Beacon team, the Oncology Service Line (OSL) Clinical Consensus Group, OSL Drug Standardization Committee, and Information Systems.

-Meticulous attention to detail
-Well organized, thorough, and systematic in work process
-Strong working knowledge of standard of care chemotherapy/antineoplastics
-Comprehensive understanding of chemotherapy/antineoplastic administration guidelines
-Ability to read, comprehend and extract relevant information from research and standard of care resources
-Ability to prioritize and organize work under time constraints
-Ability to interact collaboratively with individuals from all professions and organizational levels
-Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
-Ability to work with or willingness/ability to learn to use multiple applications and programs including EPIC, Teams, Zoom, Word, Excel, various research applications, etc.
