In your role as an LCSW, you will:

• Conduct thorough clinical assessments to understand the emotional and psychological needs of students, developing individualized treatment plans that incorporate evidence-based practices.
• Provide individual and group therapy using approaches such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), adapting techniques to cater to the unique needs of young clients.
• Maintain accurate client records and documentation in compliance with HIPAA regulations, ensuring confidentiality and ethical practices at all times.
• Collaborate closely with educators, parents, and other mental health professionals to develop a networked approach to care, addressing the challenges faced by students in an educational setting.
• Participate in regular case consultations and peer review meetings to exchange insights and continuously enhance the quality of therapeutic services offered.
• Educate clients and their families about mental health issues, treatment methods, and available resources to empower them in their journey toward wellness.
• Stay informed about developments in the mental health field, integrating new knowledge and skills into your practice to ensure effective treatment outcomes.

Your primary focus will be on a diverse patient population within the school system, including children and adolescents facing a range of mental health challenges such as anxiety, depression, behavioral issues, and trauma. You will be pivotal in providing support that not only addresses immediate concerns but also promotes long-term resilience and coping strategies.

• A Master's degree in Social Work (MSW) from an accredited program, showcasing your strong academic foundation.
• A valid Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) license in the state of Florida, reflecting your professional eligibility and commitment to ethical practice.
• A minimum of 3 years of clinical experience, particularly in a school or pediatric setting, to ensure you possess the necessary skills and insights for this specialized role.
• Strong understanding of various psychotherapy interventions and the ability to customize treatment approaches based on individual client needs.
• Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills to foster meaningful therapeutic relationships with young clients and their families.
