Associate Partner Program Manager - SM08HE

An Associate Partner Manager of Payroll , Programs, and Alliances  (PPA) will play a pivotal role in executing The Hartford’s Small Business Sales & Distribution Strategy. This is a large and exciting space for The Hartford and will include partnering with Partner Manager Directors with partners within payroll and Alliances that require significant sales support.     

A Partner Manager of PPA will fully embrace the fast-moving ever-changing market to find new ways to grow within our current Distribution partners. A Partner Manager of PPA will report to a Partner Manager Director of Payroll, Programs, and Alliances and can be based remotely within the United States. 

Responsibilities: 

  • Partnering with Partner Manager Directors to execute upon the sales strategy built  for assigned partners.   This role will be responsible for all sales execution within assigned partners, similar to that of a Hartford Field Sales Territory Manager  in the field including: 

  • Proactive partner sales calls to drive in business 

  • Pipeline new opportunities 

  • Partner with underwriting on execution of current quote flow 

  • Build, roll out, and report out on sales incentives 

  • Coordination of partner training with partners, Agency Education Consultant, and Underwriting 

  • Escalation management within assigned partnerships 

  • First point of contact for producers/agents and producer/agent level meetings 

  • Reporting, both internal and external  

  • Participate and help prepare for Product, Sales, Underwriting (PSU) meetings and partner meetings

  • Build recommendations for Partner Manager Directors on opportunities for growth.  

  • In addition to above responsibilities, this role may be assigned full partner management accountability for several small partnerships. 

  • Will have an assigned New Written Premium, New Policy Count, and Total Policy Premium goal. 

Qualifications 

  • 3+ years’ experience in Small Business insurance sales, underwriting, operations, or partner management is required; payroll/HCM industry is a plus. 

  • Strong communication both verbal and written; proficient in presenting. 

  • Ability to move fast and not get overwhelmed with high levels of emails or requests from partners.  

  • Continuous learner who stays abreast of market trends, changes in market conditions, and competitor activity and respond accordingly. 

  • Able to work collaboratively. 

  • Flexibility and team player to be moved within team where your skills set match partner need.   

  • Willing and able to travel as required; ~10% of the time; travel requirements to be discussed. 

  • This role will have a remote or hybrid work schedule, with the expectation of working in an office if one is nearby 3 days a week (Tuesday through Thursday). Monday and Friday will be worked from your remote home office. Candidates who do not live near an office will have a remote work schedule, with the expectation of coming into an office as business needs arise.

Compensation

The listed annualized base pay range is primarily based on analysis of similar positions in the external market. Actual base pay could vary and may be above or below the listed range based on factors including but not limited to performance, proficiency and demonstration of competencies required for the role. The base pay is just one component of The Hartford’s total compensation package for employees. Other rewards may include short-term or annual bonuses, long-term incentives, and on-the-spot recognition. The annualized base pay range for this role is:

$88,000 to $132,000
