Position Overview:
We are seeking an Assurance Auditor specializing in Employee Benefit Plans to assist in planning audit approaches, preparing supporting workpapers, overseeing staff, and delivering exceptional client service across a variety of industries. This role offers the chance to build deep expertise in a high-demand specialty while contributing to a rapidly growing practice.
Essential Functions:
● Lead and support audits for defined contribution plans, defined benefit pension plans, and health plans.
● Guide and oversee staff performing compliance testing across various benefit plans.
● Communicate effectively with clients to understand expectations and build long-term relationships.
● Identify issues and propose solutions to managers and partners.
● Provide value-added suggestions from audit findings for client benefit.
● Stay current on relevant developments and participate in internal training.
● Participate in recruiting efforts for staff and interns.
Position Requirements:
● Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Human Resources, or related field.
● Two to five years of public accounting, payroll, or benefits experience preferred.
● CPA license or HR certification encouraged but not required.
● Strong working knowledge of accounting procedures and/or benefit plan operations.
● Ability to multitask and meet deadlines in a fast-paced, team environment.
● Proficiency with Microsoft Office.
● Occasional travel for client setup, conferences, or training.
