Job description

What We Need

Corpay is currently looking to hire a Payment Processor within our Paymerang division. This position falls under our Corporate Payments line of business and is located in Richmond, VA. In this role, you will handle payment processing tasks, including outbound and inbound calls, and support the onboarding of new hires. You will report directly to the Operations Manager and regularly collaborate with the Payment Processor team, Support, and Client Success.

Role Responsibilities

The responsibilities of the role will include:

  • Making outbound calls to process payments using BizPay or Pega
  • Handling inbound calls after the initial training period
  • Contacting vendors via phone or email to complete payments
  • Using critical thinking to resolve incomplete client information
  • Participating in daily team standups and contributing to team chat discussions
  • Collaborating with PP2s and support teams for escalations
  • Supporting new hire training through side-by-sides and mentoring
  • Performing other duties as assigned

Qualifications & Skills

  • High school diploma or equivalent (Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree preferred).
  • 1+ years of call center or customer service experience
  • Strong communication and de-escalation skills
  • Critical thinking and problem-solving ability
  • Teamwork and collaboration mindset
  • Proficiency with BizPay, Pega, Microsoft Excel, Outlook, Teams, and Citrix Workspace
  • Experience in retail or receptionist roles preferred
  • Familiarity with payment systems or financial operations preferred

Pay Transparency

The expected hourly range for this position is $16.25 - $17.00, based on the candidate’s work location. This range reflects a good faith estimate of the expected compensation for this role at the time of posting. The final offer will be determined based on job-related factors including skills, experience, qualifications, and applicable market conditions. Compensation may vary based on geographic location and will be confirmed during the hiring process.
