Balanced Life Therapy is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Licensed Mental Health Counselor to join our team as a full-time remote therapist. In this vital role, you will leverage your skills as a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT), Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC), or Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) to provide essential mental health support to individuals and families across diverse backgrounds. Key Responsibilities
  • Provide individualized therapy sessions for clients including individual, couples, family, and group therapy across the lifespan, with a focus on therapeutic methods that best suit the clientโ€™s needs.
  • Conduct comprehensive assessments to identify clientsโ€™ strengths, challenges, and treatment goals, utilizing remote tools to gather vital background information effectively.
  • Develop and implement personalized, evidence-based treatment plans, regularly revisiting and adapting these plans as the clientโ€™s needs evolve.
  • Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams, healthcare providers, and community partners to ensure continuity of care and effective treatment coordination.
  • Maintain accurate and timely documentation in our electronic health record system related to client progress, treatment interventions, and session outcomes.
Patient Population / Client Focus

Qualifications
  • A Masterโ€™s degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology is required.
  • Must hold a full, unrestricted license to practice without supervision as one of the following: LMFT, LPC, or LCSW.
  • No limited or provisional licenses; candidates must have a clean disciplinary history.
  • Strong ability to make independent professional assessments, treatment plans, and recommendations.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills, demonstrating empathy and understanding towards client situations.
  • Proficiency with technology and computer literacy to manage telehealth sessions and documentation effectively.
Preferred Experience
  • Previous experience in a telehealth or remote therapy setting is highly desirable.
  • Demonstrated ability to work within a collaborative team environment.
  • Experience with a variety of therapeutic models and interventions to meet the unique needs of clients.
