Remote Partial Hospitalization information

What is remote partial hospitalization?

Remote Partial Hospitalization is a structured mental health treatment program that delivers intensive therapy and support to patients who do not require 24-hour care, but still need more support than traditional outpatient therapy. This program is conducted virtually, allowing participants to attend treatment sessions from home while still receiving comprehensive care, including group and individual therapy, medication management, and skill-building activities. Remote Partial Hospitalization is designed to help individuals stabilize their mental health while maintaining their daily routines and responsibilities.

What are the key skills and qualifications needed to thrive as a remote partial hospitalization clinician?

To thrive as a Remote Partial Hospitalization Program (PHP) Clinician, you need a background in mental health counseling, psychology, or social work, often supported by a relevant master's degree and clinical licensure (e.g., LCSW, LPC, LMFT). Familiarity with telehealth platforms, electronic health record (EHR) systems, and secure communication tools is typically required. Strong interpersonal communication, empathy, and organizational skills are vital for building rapport with clients and managing caseloads remotely. These combined skills ensure effective patient care, compliance, and therapeutic outcomes in a virtual mental health treatment setting.

How does a remote partial hospitalization role coordinate care with onsite clinical teams and other remote professionals?

In a Remote Partial Hospitalization (PHP) role, professionals regularly collaborate with onsite clinicians, case managers, and other remote team members through secure telehealth platforms and electronic health records (EHRs). Daily or weekly virtual team meetings are standard to discuss patient progress, treatment plans, and any urgent concerns. Clear communication and documentation are crucial to ensure continuity of care, and team members often use secure messaging or video calls to maintain alignment. This collaborative structure supports high-quality, integrated care for patients while allowing for flexibility in work location.

This full-time, remote position is designed for professionals eager to make a significant impact in the lives of individuals struggling with mental health challenges.

About the Organization

At Upstream Rehabilitation and Wellness Center, we are more than just a mental health treatment facility; we are a vibrant community devoted to transforming lives through empathy and innovative care. Our mission is to empower young adults and their families by addressing mental health concerns through effective and holistic treatment approaches. With a commitment to service, integrity, and accessibility, we strive to create an environment where growth and progress are at the forefront of everything we do.

This role operates within a telehealth setting, allowing you to work from the comfort of your own home while still being an integral part of a collaborative team. We emphasize a culture of shared learning and respect, where innovative ideas are embraced, and professional development is encouraged. Our team thrives on building connections, both with each other and our clients, to ensure that everyone feels valued and supported.

Key Responsibilities

As a Licensed Mental Health Counselor, your day-to-day duties will encompass:

  • Facilitating Group Therapy: You will lead engaging group therapy sessions focused on fostering connections and providing a safe space for clients to share their experiences, for example, integrating role-play activities to simulate coping strategies.
  • Providing Individual Therapy: Youโ€™ll conduct personalized therapy sessions tailored to each clientโ€™s needs, employing techniques such as cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT) to help them navigate through their feelings and formulate action plans.
  • Developing Treatment Plans: Using a collaborative approach, you will work closely with clients to create individualized, actionable treatment plans that reflect their unique needs and aspirations.
  • Monitoring Progress: Regularly assess and document client progress through observable metrics and feedback tools to adjust treatment plans effectively.
  • Collaborating with Multidisciplinary Teams: Engage in ongoing communication and consultation with healthcare professionals, such as psychiatrists and social workers, to provide holistic care.
Patient Population / Client Focus

Your primary focus will be on young adults aged 18 to 30 who are experiencing a range of mental health challenges. You will support clients through our Partial Hospitalization Program (PHP), equipping them with the tools necessary for recovery and personal growth. By fostering a nurturing and supportive environment, you will help clients build resilience and develop effective coping mechanisms.

Qualifications
  • A Masterโ€™s degree in Counseling, Psychology, Social Work, or a related field.
  • A valid Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMHC) credential in Massachusetts.
  • Strong understanding of mental health treatment modalities and evidenced-based practices.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, enabling effective collaboration with clients, families, and team members.
Preferred Experience

Candidates should have at least two years of experience in mental health counseling, preferably working with young adults or adolescents. Experience in delivering telehealth services and familiarity with digital health platforms will be an added advantage.

Compensation and Benefits

The annual salary for this position ranges from USD 85,000 to 100,000, commensurate with experience. We offer a robust benefits package that includes health, dental, and vision insurance, paid time off, and a warm, inclusive work culture.

Career Growth Opportunities

We believe in nurturing your professional development. Benefit from ongoing education support, including CEUs, access to free clinical supervision, and various professional development opportunities. We are committed to your growth and provide avenues for advancement based on performance and initiative.

Why Join Our Team

By joining Upstream Rehabilitation and Wellness Center, you will become a key player in an organization that values service, integrity, and passion. You will have the opportunity to inspire hope and transformation in the lives of clients and their families, work with a diverse and inclusive team, and thrive in a proactive and supportive environment.
