Upstream Rehabilitation and Wellness Center is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMHC) to join our dynamic team as we provide essential mental health services to teens and young adults. As a Licensed Mental Health Counselor, your day-to-day duties will encompass:

• Facilitating Group Therapy: You will lead engaging group therapy sessions focused on fostering connections and providing a safe space for clients to share their experiences, for example, integrating role-play activities to simulate coping strategies.
• Providing Individual Therapy: You’ll conduct personalized therapy sessions tailored to each client’s needs, employing techniques such as cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT) to help them navigate through their feelings and formulate action plans.
• Developing Treatment Plans: Using a collaborative approach, you will work closely with clients to create individualized, actionable treatment plans that reflect their unique needs and aspirations.
• Monitoring Progress: Regularly assess and document client progress through observable metrics and feedback tools to adjust treatment plans effectively.
• Collaborating with Multidisciplinary Teams: Engage in ongoing communication and consultation with healthcare professionals, such as psychiatrists and social workers, to provide holistic care.

Your primary focus will be on young adults aged 18 to 30 who are experiencing a range of mental health challenges. You will support clients through our Partial Hospitalization Program (PHP), equipping them with the tools necessary for recovery and personal growth. By fostering a nurturing and supportive environment, you will help clients build resilience and develop effective coping mechanisms.

• A Master’s degree in Counseling, Psychology, Social Work, or a related field.
• A valid Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMHC) credential in Massachusetts.
• Strong understanding of mental health treatment modalities and evidenced-based practices.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, enabling effective collaboration with clients, families, and team members.

Candidates should have at least two years of experience in mental health counseling, preferably working with young adults or adolescents. Experience in delivering telehealth services and familiarity with digital health platforms will be an added advantage.
