Lifeworks is hiring a Clinician to work with Individuals with ID/DD. We are a nonprofit human service agency that provides adults with developmental disabilities the opportunity to live engaged and meaningful lives. As a Clinician, you will meet with the people we serve in a geographic area that matches your availability with the geographic areas of those we serve. Our clinicians primarily provide direct counseling supports but once relationships are established, telehealth appointments can be implemented. *Candidates must have related or direct experience working with the community we serve.
Clinicians provide one or more of the following services:
  • Diagnostic Assessments/Treatment Plans
  • Individual Therapy
  • Family/Couples Therapy
  • Group Therapy
  • Case Consultation
Clinician Responsibilities:
  • The Clinician is responsible for establishing clear treatment goals and clinically appropriate recommendations for treatment and interventions. This role will provide clinical (individual, family, group) counseling to clients and their families. The Clinician will perform the following services, as applicable:
    • Prepare a Treatment Plan, with goals written in behavioral terms, within a specified time frame.
    • Use Electronic Health Record system (eHana)
    • Complete Progress Notes for each therapy session using Harbor Counseling Center’s EHR system.
    • Prepare Transfer and Termination summaries using EHR system.
    • Incorporate feedback from the Supervisor and Utilization Review Team as required.
    • Participate in required supervision per Mass Health Regulations.
    • Complete Relias and Insurance required trainings.
    • Bring any concerns regarding clinical issues or risk management issues to the attention of the Supervisor.
  • The Clinician will keep proper boundaries with the client and all collateral staff and family members involved with each client. The Clinician will follow HIPAA policies and the Agency’s confidentiality policies as outlined in the Personnel Policies and Procedures received upon hire.
  • The Clinician will provide the services described above according to a schedule established by the Clinician. These services may be performed at various locations as arranged between the Clinician and his or her client(s), provided the location is safe, clean and private.
  • Complete tasks associated with client intake process.
  • Update treatment plans.
  • Provide individual and family therapy as indicated in the treatment plan.
  • Facilitate groups as needed in support of the Center’s population needs.
  • Complete progress notes in the EHR system.
  • Ensure regular communication regarding cases with other team members.
  • Attend supervision as required by supervisor.
  • Adhere to crisis support procedures and communication protocols.
  • Attend staff meetings as required.
Requirements:
  • Master’s Degree in social work (MSW), a Master’s Degree in Mental Health Counseling (MHC) or a Master’s Degree in Education with a concentration in Psychology or Counseling Psychology, and experience as a Clinician. The Master’s Degree can be in any one of the following fields: Counseling, Social Work, Expressive Therapy, Art Therapy, Family and Marriage Counseling, or Education with a concentration in Psychology or Counseling Psychology.
  • Master’s Degree candidates who are licensed by the Commonwealth of Massachusetts (i.e. LICSW, LMHC or LCSW) will receive higher fees for their services. Valid and current driver’s license in State of residency.
  • Must be able to pass Fingerprint background check, CORI, DPPC and Driving background checks
  • Masters of Social Work, Masters in Education (LMHC, and LICSW) are preferred.
  • Experience with electronic health records preferred.
  • Reliable means of transportation
  • Experience working with Individuals with ID/DD
  • Valid Driver's License in the state you reside required
