Job description

Salary: 70,000.00 per year

Division Manager - Live Goods Merchandising
Includes 101 store locations


RESPONSIBILITIES: (include but not limited to):

  • Manage team of merchandisers that service a grocery retailer daily
  • Hire and supervise employees, deal with conflicts, and motivate employees
  • Train employees on product knowledge, store watering, maintaining a safe and clean display area, how to receive and stage a variety of outdoor plants in areas designated by store and Plan-O-Gram (POG), ensuring proper signage is in place, and removing and recording unsaleable plant material
  • Communicate daily with employees on projects and tasks completed
  • Continuously analyze the needs of the stores and adjust team as needed
  • Review photos and summary of tasks performed from merchandisers
  • Assist in store coverage when a regular merchandiser is unavailable
  • Build strong, positive relationships with Floral Manager, Store Managers, Growers and grocery retailer associates
  • Document/capture information of all grocery retailer stores in Division


REQUIREMENTS:

  • Merchandising and team management experience required
  • Experience hiring/supervising/managing remote employees
  • Some overnight travel necessary when visiting geographically remote stores
  • Live goods/horticulture experience preferred
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Must be outgoing and able to interact with store personnel, merchandisers, and customers
  • Must have a smart phone
  • Must be able to lift 15-30 lbs. repetitively on occasions
  • Must have dependable transportation
  • Must be able to work outside
  • Understand and follow a Plan-O-Gram
  • Available to work weekends and holidays when required
  • Must be at least 18 years old
