At The Organic Center (TOC), you will join a science-driven nonprofit dedicated to advancing evidence-based research on the environmental and human health benefits of organic food and farming. As Bilingual Spanish Communications Manager, you will lead the development and execution of a strategic, integrated communications program that elevates TOC's visibility, translates complex scientific research into compelling content, and strengthens engagement with consumers, researchers, policymakers, and industry stakeholders.

Why This Is More Than Just a Job

We know great work starts with feeling supported, valued, and inspired. That's why we offer a competitive salary of $66,000-$69,000, based on experience, along with a thoughtfully designed benefits package that supports your health, financial future, and overall well-being:

  • Comprehensive health benefits: Medical, dental, and vision coverage to support you and your family
  • Retirement planning: 401(k) with employer matching to help you invest in your future
  • Financial protection: Life and disability insurance for added security
  • Flexible spending options: Health savings and flexible spending accounts tailored to your needs
  • Work-life balance: Generous paid time off, flexible scheduling, and remote work opportunities

This is an opportunity to be part of something bigger. You'll join a mission-driven team where your work directly contributes to advancing sustainable agriculture, improving human and environmental health, and making science accessible to all. Here, collaboration sparks innovation, curiosity fuels growth, and every team member plays a meaningful role in creating lasting impact.

To thrive/succeed as our Bilingual Spanish Communications Manager, you should have:

  • Bachelor's degree in Communications, Marketing, Journalism, Public Relations, or related field; Master's preferred for nonprofit or science communications roles.
  • 5+ years of experience in communications management, digital marketing, or nonprofit communications, preferably within sustainability, agriculture, or research organizations.
  • Proven expertise in SEO, content strategy, social media management, email marketing platforms (Mailchimp/Account Engagement), and CMS platforms (WordPress/Drupal).
  • Bilingual fluency in English and Spanish is required, with experience developing multilingual content; ability to travel as needed for events, conferences, and partner engagement.
  • Solid proficiency in graphic design and content tools (Canva, Adobe Creative Suite) and project management platforms (e.g., Asana), with demonstrated ability to manage multiple stakeholders and deadlines.

Your responsibilities as the Bilingual Spanish Communications Manager will include:

  • Develop and execute a strategic communications plan, including editorial calendars, integrated marketing campaigns, and cross-functional collaboration aligned with nonprofit and sustainability communications goals.
  • Create and manage SEO-optimized digital content (website, blogs, newsletters, press releases) to increase visibility, audience engagement, and organic search rankings.
  • Translate scientific research and data storytelling into accessible, audience-focused messaging for diverse stakeholders, including Gen Z and multicultural audiences.
  • Lead website redesign and content optimization (WordPress/Drupal), improving UX, multilingual accessibility, and digital performance metrics.
  • Analyze marketing analytics and KPIs (social media, email marketing, web traffic) to drive data-informed communications strategies and campaign performance.
