Job description

Description
The Order Fulfillment Manager will lead the global Order Fulfillment function responsible for driving execution, shipment visibility, backlog management, and operational coordination across VAST's contract manufacturers, internal operations teams, and cross-functional stakeholders.
This role is responsible for ensuring orders progress efficiently from booking through shipment by proactively identifying risks, driving escalations, improving operational visibility, and partnering closely with Contract Manufacturers, Supply Base Management, Order Management, RevOps, Logistics, and Sales.
The ideal candidate thrives in a fast-paced, high-growth environment with evolving processes, complex supply constraints, and high operational ambiguity.
Key Responsibilities
Order Fulfillment Execution
  • Lead daily execution and prioritization of global fulfillment activities across all active customer orders.
  • Drive alignment between customer commits, backlog health, shipment readiness, and CM execution.
  • Monitor fulfillment risks, shipment delays, allocation impacts, and operational blockers.
  • Ensure accurate and timely communication of order status, commits, and escalations.

CM Operational Management
  • Serve as the primary operational escalation point for fulfillment-related issues with Contract Manufacturers.
  • Establish regular operational cadence with Contract Manufacturers
  • Drive accountability for commits, shipment execution, backlog management, and issue resolution.
  • Escalate recurring process gaps, communication failures, and execution risks appropriately.

Visibility & Risk Management
  • Proactively identify operational risks before customer impact occurs.
  • Utilize reporting, dashboards, backlog analysis, and operational data to identify gaps and trends.
  • Improve fulfillment visibility across build status, shortages, shipment readiness, and execution risks.
  • Partner cross-functionally to improve data accuracy and operational transparency.

Team Leadership
  • Manage and mentor the Order Fulfillment team and ensure key deliverables are completed within SLAs
  • Drive operational consistency, accountability, and escalation discipline across the team.
  • Help define team structure, workflows, responsibilities, and best practices as the organization scales.

Cross-Functional Partnership
  • Partner closely with OM, Supply Base Management, RevOps, Logistics, Finance, and Sales.
  • Support executive escalations and provide operational updates to leadership.
  • Collaborate on process improvements and automation initiatives to reduce manual effort and operational risk.

Preferred Experience
  • Experience in Order Fulfillment, Supply Chain Operations, Manufacturing Operations, or Customer Operations within a high-growth technology environment.
  • Strong operational troubleshooting and escalation management experience.
  • Experience working with Contract Manufacturers and complex hardware fulfillment operations.
  • Ability to operate effectively in ambiguous, rapidly changing environments.
  • Strong analytical mindset with ability to synthesize information across multiple systems and stakeholders.
  • Excellent communication and cross-functional collaboration skills.
  • Experience with ERP/CRM/backlog systems and operational reporting tools preferred.

Success Metrics
  • Improved shipment predictability and operational visibility
  • Reduction in reactive escalations
  • Improved CM accountability and communication cadence
  • Faster identification/resolution of fulfillment risks
  • Improved backlog accuracy and commit confidence
  • Strong cross-functional stakeholder alignment
