Arlluk Technology Solutions (ATS), a Koniag Government Services company, is seeking an experienced IBM Maximo Subject Matter Expert to join our team. The ideal candidate is a highly skilled professional with deep expertise in IBM Maximo Asset Management and a passion for delivering innovative enterprise asset management solutions. This individual will serve as a trusted advisor and technical authority, applying their knowledge and experience to solve complex, real-world challenges for our clients.ย 

Essential Functions, Responsibilities & Duties may include, but are not limited to:

The IBM Maximo Subject Matter Expert (SME) will serve as the primary technical and functional authority on IBM Maximo Asset Management implementations, configurations, and integrations. This individual will work closely with stakeholders, project managers, and technical teams to design, develop, and deploy Maximo-based solutions that meet business and operational requirements. Principal responsibilities will include but are not limited to:

  • Serve as the technical and functional lead for IBM Maximo Asset Management implementations, upgrades, and ongoing support.
  • Provide expert-level guidance on Maximo configuration, customization, and best practices to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Analyze business requirements and translate them into functional and technical Maximo solutions, including workflows, automation scripts, and system configurations.
  • Develop and maintain Maximo application configurations, including work order management, asset management, inventory management, procurement, and preventive maintenance modules.
  • Collaborate with integration teams to design and implement data interfaces between Maximo and other enterprise systems using integration frameworks such as Maximo Application Framework (MAF) and RESTful/SOAP web services.
  • Lead the implementation, configuration, and support of IBM Maximo Mobile for EAM, enabling field technicians and mobile workforce personnel to access and update asset and work order data from mobile devices.
  • Design and optimize mobile workflows within IBM Maximo Mobile for EAM to align with organizational business processes, ensuring seamless synchronization between mobile and desktop environments.
  • Provide training and support to end users and administrators on IBM Maximo Mobile for EAM functionality, including offline capabilities, inspection forms, and work execution features.
  • Support the deployment and configuration of IBM Maximo Application Suite (MAS) on Red Hat OpenShift container platforms, collaborating with infrastructure and DevOps teams to ensure stable and scalable environments.
  • Conduct system assessments, gap analyses, and provide recommendations for system improvements and optimization.
  • Support data migration efforts, including data mapping, cleansing, validation, and loading activities.
  • Develop and deliver training materials and sessions for end users and system administrators.
  • Create and maintain comprehensive technical documentation, including system design documents, configuration guides, and standard operating procedures.
  • Participate in Agile or Waterfall project delivery methodologies, contributing to sprint planning, stand-ups, and project stage gates as required.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve complex Maximo system issues, including mobile environment issues, inspecting logs and coordinating with IBM support when necessary.
  • Support testing efforts including unit testing, system integration testing, and user acceptance testing (UAT) for both desktop and mobile environments.
  • Mentor junior team members and provide technical oversight to ensure adherence to best practices and quality standards.

Education and Experience:
Required:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field from an accredited college or university.
  • 7+ years of hands-on experience with IBM Maximo Asset Management implementation, configuration, and administration.
  • Demonstrated experience with IBM Maximo Mobile for EAM, including configuration, deployment, and support of mobile workforce solutions.
  • Demonstrated experience supporting enterprise asset management programs in complex organizational environments.

Preferred:

  • Master's degree in a related field.
  • Experience supporting federal government or public sector clients.
  • IBM Maximo certification or equivalent demonstrated expertise.
  • Hands-on experience with Red Hat OpenShift, particularly in the context of deploying and managing IBM Maximo Application Suite (MAS) or other enterprise applications within a containerized environment.

Required Skills and Competencies:

  • Exceptional communication skills in English โ€“ both written and oral โ€“ with the ability to communicate effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Deep functional and technical knowledge of IBM Maximo Asset Management, including core modules such as Work Order Tracking, Asset Management, Inventory, Purchasing, and Preventive Maintenance.
  • Hands-on experience with IBM Maximo Mobile for EAM, including configuration of mobile workflows, inspection forms, and work execution processes for field technicians and mobile workforce personnel.
  • Proficiency in Maximo Application Framework (MAF), including application designer, database configuration, and workflow configuration.
  • Experience developing and maintaining Maximo Automation Scripts using JavaScript or Python.
  • Ability to design and implement integration solutions using Maximo Integration Framework (MIF), including RESTful and SOAP-based web services.
  • Strong understanding of relational databases (e.g., Oracle, IBM DB2, MS SQL Server) and the ability to write and optimize complex SQL queries.
  • Experience conducting business process analysis, gap analysis, and requirements gathering to design effective Maximo solutions.
  • Experience supporting data migration efforts, including data mapping, transformation, and validation.
  • Ability to develop and deliver end-user training and technical documentation, including mobile-specific user guides and training materials.
  • Experience supporting system testing activities, including unit testing, integration testing, and UAT for both desktop and mobile Maximo environments.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to troubleshoot complex system issues, including mobile connectivity and synchronization challenges.
  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment under the direction of a project or technical lead.
  • Familiarity with Agile and/or Waterfall project delivery methodologies.

Security Requirement:

  • Ability to obtain Public Trust Clearance.

Desired Skills and Competencies:

  • Experience working in a federal government IT environment.
  • Familiarity with IBM Maximo for Civil Infrastructure or IBM Maximo for Utilities.
  • Experience with IBM Maximo Application Suite (MAS) and cloud-based Maximo deployments.
  • Experience with Red Hat OpenShift, including deploying, configuring, and managing containerized applications, with specific preference for experience supporting IBM Maximo Application Suite (MAS) deployments on OpenShift platforms.
  • Familiarity with Kubernetes and container orchestration concepts as they relate to enterprise application deployments.
  • Experience with IBM Maximo Mobile for EAM deployment on both iOS and Android platforms, including Mobile Device Management (MDM) integration.
  • Knowledge of ITIL framework and IT service management principles.
  • Experience with Computerized Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS) beyond Maximo.
  • IBM Certified Deployment Professional โ€“ Maximo Asset Management or equivalent certification.
  • Red Hat OpenShift certification (e.g., Red Hat Certified Specialist in OpenShift Administration) or equivalent demonstrated experience.
  • Familiarity with Single Sign-On (SSO) integrations using SAML or OAuth2 within Maximo environments.
  • Experience with enterprise reporting tools such as BIRT or Cognos Analytics integrated with Maximo.
  • Knowledge of cybersecurity best practices within enterprise asset management environments.
