The health care system is still evolving at a rapid pace. Technology is driving new advances in how patient care is delivered and how it's reimbursed. As part of our Recovery and Resolutions team, you'll help understand and overcome errors in claims processing. You'll have all the tools and backing you need to help manage subrogation files, negotiate settlements and ensure adherence to compliance policies. This position is full-time, Monday - Friday. Employees are required to have flexibility to work during our normal business hours of 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM. It may be necessary, given the business need, to work occasional overtime.

We offer 4 weeks of on-the-job training. The hours of training will be aligned with your schedule.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Provide claims expertise support by reviewing, researching, investigating, negotiating and resolving all types of claims as well as recovery and resolution for health plans, commercial customers, and government entities
  • Analyze, identify trends and provide reports as necessary
  • Ensure adherence to state and federal compliance policies, reimbursement policies and contract compliance

This is a challenging role with serious impact. You'll need to sort through complex situations to understand and clarify where errors happened or where they may continue to happen. It's a fast paced environment that takes focus, intensity and resilience.

Required Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma or GED OR equivalent work experience
  • Must be 18 years of age OR older 
  • 1 years of healthcare claims experience
  • Ability to work full-time, Monday - Friday. Employees are required to have flexibility to work during our normal business hours of Monday - Friday, 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM. It may be necessary, given the business need, to work occasional overtime.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • 1 years of experience in applications EDSS/Doc360, PICTS/CAP and Macess 
  • 1 years of experience with computer and Windows PC applications, including the ability to learn new and complex systems                       
  • Experience with the following Claims Platforms: ODAR, UNET, COSMOS, CPA, ISET, NICE, FACETS, CSP, and / or Oxford
  • Ability to research and understand history screens on multiple applications / platforms

  • Ability to keep all company sensitive documents secure (if applicable)
  • Required to have a dedicated work area established that is separated from other living areas and provides information privacy.
  • Must live in a location that can receive a UnitedHealth Group approved high-speed internet connection or leverage an existing high-speed internet service.

Pay is based on several factors including but not limited to local labor markets, education, work experience, certifications, etc. In addition to your salary, we offer benefits such as, a comprehensive benefits package, incentive and recognition programs, equity stock purchase and 401k contribution (all benefits are subject to eligibility requirements).
