What you will do

Johnson Controls is seeking a highly analytical and detail-oriented Business Intelligence Analyst II to join our dynamic Sales, Inventory & Operations Planning (SIOP) team. This role is instrumental in expanding our enterprise analytics capabilities across the Air Handling Units (AHU) business.

As a key contributor, you will enable data-driven decision-making across demand planning, inventory optimization, and supply chain operations. You'll collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, including Sales, Operations, Finance, IT, and Product Management to ensure our SIOP processes are supported by accurate, timely, and actionable insights.

The Business Intelligence Analyst II will play a pivotal role in transforming complex data into strategic insights that enhance performance visibility, supply chain dynamics, and operational efficiency across AHU Americas manufacturing operations. Responsibilities include developing dashboards, reports, and analytical models that empower teams to make informed decisions and drive continuous improvement.

How you will do it

  • Data Management & Visualization
    • Collect, clean, and validate data from multiple sources (e.g., ERP, CRM, PLM).
    • Develop and maintain interactive dashboards and reports using tools such as Power BI, Tableau, or Excel.
    • Ensure data accuracy, integrity, and consistency across SIOP systems and processes.
    • Champion the use of data to drive innovation, efficiency, and business value across departments.
    • Automate data workflows and reporting processes to improve efficiency and reduce manual effort.
  • Forecasting & Trend Analysis
    • Support demand forecasting by analyzing historical data, market trends, and seasonality.
    • Identify patterns and anomalies to improve forecast accuracy.
    • Research, evaluate, and implement emerging analytics tools and practices to enhance platform capabilities.
  • Inventory & Supply Chain Analytics
    • Monitor inventory levels, turnover rates, and obsolescence risks.
    • Provide insights into supply-demand alignment and capacity utilization.
    • Analyze large datasets to identify trends, anomalies, and opportunities for operational improvement.
  • Lifecycle & Scenario Modeling
    • Integrate product lifecycle data (e.g., NPIs, phase-outs) into SIOP models.
    • Run simulations to assess the impact of demand shifts, supply constraints, and product transitions.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration
    • Partner with SIOP leaders and business stakeholders to translate business needs into analytical dashboards, data solutions, and decision-support tools.
    • Collaborate with teams across manufacturing, supply chain, finance, and commercial functions to understand and address business challenges.
    • Present findings and recommendations to leadership in a clear and compelling manner.
    • Support strategic projects and serve as the analytics lead on cross-functional initiatives.
    • Participate in continuous improvement efforts and contribute to digital transformation initiatives.

What we look for

Required:

  • Bachelor's degree in Business Analytics, Data Science, Information Systems, Industrial Engineering, or related field.
  • 3-5 years of experience in business intelligence, data analytics, or a related role.
  • Proficiency in SQL, Excel, and data visualization tools (Power BI, Tableau, etc.)
  • Experience with ERP systems (SAP, Oracle) and familiarity with PLM data.
  • Proven ability to manage teams, projects, and timelines in a cross-functional environment.
  • Experience aligning analytics with business goals, including performance metrics, reporting standards, and operational KPIs.
  • Strong communication skills for making presentations, developing and maintaining relationships with ability to communicate complex issues in a crisp, clear and concise way is ideal.
  • Detail-oriented with a passion for solving complex problems through data.
  • Ability to identify problems, formulate solutions, influence others, work independently, and drive results in a fast-paced environment.
