Job description

Fido - Operations Assistant (Remote)

Position: Full-Time, Independent Contractor
Location: Remote, Philippines

COMPANY OVERVIEW

We’re Fido — a U.S.-based operations company that helps property managers, vacation rental operators, and communities keep their properties running smoothly through reliable bin-to-curb service and on-demand junk removal.

The Operations Assistant (OA) plays a critical role in supporting our Operations Coordinators by ensuring daily routes, requests, and service verifications are completed accurately and on time. This position requires strong organizational skills, clear communication, and comfort with internal tools such as Google Sheets, Slack, and phone or messaging systems.

This is a remote role requiring work during U.S. Central Standard Time (CST) hours.

POSITION SUMMARY

The Operations Assistant (OA) supports Fido’s Operations Coordinators in ensuring daily bin-to-curb and junk-haul services are executed accurately and on time. This role is primarily administrative and operations-focused — managing data, verifying service completion, and coordinating communication between internal teams and field partners.

The OA reports directly to an Operations Coordinator, working closely with both the Operations and Customer Experience (CX) teams to ensure service quality and operational efficiency.

A typical day includes monitoring service requests, updating tracking sheets, checking route completions, following up with haulers or CX on any issues, and maintaining clear documentation across communications/databases. This is a contracted remote position, working full-time hours, operating on U.S. Central Standard Time (CST) hours.

RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Support Operations Coordinators in managing daily bin-to-curb and junk removal routes.

  • Verify service completion using our internal database and shared dashboards.

  • Update Google Sheets with accurate operational data (customer changes, overrides, completion status).

  • Communicate with haulers and customer service teams via Slack and Quo (phone platform).

  • Troubleshoot simple operational issues and escalate to your Coordinator when needed.

  • Follow structured workflows and meet same-day completion targets for assigned tasks.

  • Participate in weekly syncs and maintain responsive communication during assigned hours.

QUALIFICATIONS
  • BYOD (Bring-Your-Own-Device) — must provide proof of:

    • Laptop/desktop with 8GB+ RAM, i5 or equivalent processor.

    • Reliable internet (10 Mbps+ upload/download).

    • Quiet, professional work environment.

  • Prior remote experience preferred.

  • Conversational English required; clear written English mandatory.

  • Must work U.S. hours (CST).

COMPENSATION & SCHEDULE

Pay: $4.00 - $4.75 / hourly - independent contractor

Schedule: Full-time; 5 days a week, based on business need. All times in US CST
