As a Licensed Professional Counselor, your primary responsibilities will include:

• Conducting comprehensive assessments to evaluate the mental health needs of your clients, establishing individualized treatment goals.
• Regularly communicating with supervisors, direct care teams, and family members to discuss the progress and treatment of individuals under your care.
• Providing a structured and tentative schedule to supervisors regarding appointments, home visits, and clinical observations to monitor treatment advancements.
• Coordinating and facilitating home visits to adhere to compliance requirements and to gather data that aids in treatment evaluation and program effectiveness.
• Implementing and ensuring the delivery of effective program plans tailored to individual needs, continually assessing their adequacy and progress.
• Participating actively in Interdisciplinary Team Meetings and taking part in continuous education and training sessions to enhance service delivery.
• Documenting monthly and quarterly progress notes that accurately reflect the client's journey and treatment outcomes.
• Leading training initiatives to assess and enhance team competencies in treatment protocol and documentation standards.
• Offering follow-up consultations and ongoing support through home visits and regular check-ins to ensure consistent care.
• Maintaining organized records to facilitate effective communication and collaboration with all stakeholders.
• Acting as a liaison between our organization and the mental health community, fostering relationships that support the development goals of our patients.
• Assisting in creating and enhancing training materials that improve program efficiency and staff understanding.

Your role involves direct interaction with diverse patient populations, including both adults and youth, who may seek help for a wide range of mental health issues. Your proficiency in addressing various psychological challenges—from common stressors to more severe mental health concerns—will be crucial in providing effective treatment. You will have the opportunity to specialize in areas such as family therapy, trauma resolution, and substance misuse, tailoring your approach to meet the unique needs of your clients.

The ideal candidate for this position will possess the following qualifications:

• A Master's or Doctoral degree in Counseling, Psychology, or a related field.
• Valid and unrestricted licensure as a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) in the state of New Jersey.
• A minimum of two years of experience in a counseling setting, preferably within a clinical environment.
• Specialized training or experience in specific areas such as family therapy, couples therapy, trauma, or substance misuse is highly desirable.
• A strong understanding of legal and ethical standards related to mental health counseling.
• Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills to connect with a diverse array of clients.
• A demonstrated ability to collaborate with multidisciplinary healthcare teams.
• Familiarity with electronic medical records (EMR) software and related operational technologies.

While the position requires two years of counseling experience, candidates who have additional expertise in trauma-informed care, crisis intervention, or evidence-based therapeutic approaches will find their experiences particularly valuable in this role.

The salary for this position ranges between $80,000 and $110,000 per year, commensurate with experience and caseload. Additional benefits include:
